DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Venom strike being so OP and giving Miles the win is funny, but I'm pretty sure Deku could just, like, punch downward and cause a shockwave that kills him instantly. Idk why it's considered the big game changer when Deku's ranged options are very obviously more powerful
I don't think it's so much that it's much that it's considered a 'big game changer' (although I guess it kinda is, maybe?), and more so that people are saying, "Miles has to have some kind of win-con here, right?", and thus are looking to his venom strike to fill that role.

It's kinda cope, but like, fringe, semi-justified cope. It is a very strong ability, to be sure. And if you believe that Miles is faster and believe that Deku can't resist the venom strike, neither of which is an entirely unreasonable conclusion from what I understand, then you can see where this comes from.

mind you that blog was jsut copy n paste shit from other blogs and was wanking miles madly

Also people seem to forget that DB doesn't really care about single wincons. If one character has like 8 different ways to win while the other has only one way to win then the first character is gonna get the win no matter what. Unless that singular wincon is so overwhelming of an argument then it doesn't really matter.

Ig Miles' Venom has hurt/KO'd characters who have some level of Resistance to electricity. No clue how their Resistances compare to Deku tanking lightning tho.

What character is this?

Electro's max output is 10,000,000 volts

Miles' venom strike could do is take out Ultimate Omega Red who in the mainstream comics was... knocked out by what comicvine claims was 50,000 volts

Deku was knocked out by the lightning bolt, but the key thing is he still survived it. A lightning is 300 megavolts, 30 times above Electro's max voltage. Deku survived a prolonged bout of lightning, even if it knocked him out.

Deku might legit not even need Blackwhip here.

Much like all fanbases, there are Godzilla fans and then there are Godzilla fans. I have no proof, but what I think separates the two is the gatekeeping. Most fans from before 2014 just watched the movies, enjoyed them, and then moved on. Others, perhaps those more desperate for community or something, decided that defending their niche love of Godzilla from any and all criticism their whole personality.

IDK how TOHO kingdom is doing these days, but that place was a toxic cesspool of weird elitism way back when. This isn't even going into the vs debating side of things, which tends to amplify the worst traits of fanbases, minor or otherwise, and makes them vocal. Now all those passionate fans who defended Godzilla's reputation religiously can argue how he solos fiction.

Again, no evidence, but basically Godzilla being so niche for so long quietly created a unique type of toxic vocal minority fanbase. I assume something similar happens for other niche things.
bout right

Peak episode if it happened. Imagine if the fight was framed around a campaign rally for either of them or a debate or something, it would be incredible. Valentine does kinda hax-stomp though, right? Like, I don't think Armstrong has any answer to paradoxing or Love Train. He is much stronger though, so that's at least something.

It would be fun if they somehow included Excelsus without dragging the fight out too long.
