At this juncture I wouldn't be opposed to a rework of all profiles. Granted this sort of thing is easier said than done.
I just checked
Reimu and
Yukari's profiles, the former has 145 references and the latter 139. The rest more or less has 30 references at minimum, all with the same problem of spamming the same reference, making it extremely bloated, also because just in Reimu's profile I have noticed that the wordings have inconsistencies, like "Unidentified Fantastic Object - Marisa A Scenario" and "
Undefined Fantastic Object, Marisa's A scenario".
It is actually easy, just that is very lenghty. When I have to work with profiles requiring a lot of references (
373 and
113 references, for instance), I'd apply the following method (I use just the following as examples).
CASE 1: Game
The reference in question is "Perfect Cherry Blossom, Reimu's Scenario
". In this case, you apply the following:
For the first, use this:
<ref name="PCB Reimu Scenario">Perfect Cherry Blossom, Reimu's Scenario</ref>
Then for the case where it's repeated, you use just this:
<ref name="PCB Reimu Scenario"/>
Pretty easy, amrite?
The same can be repeated for specific A/B scenarios and endings, etc, just use a simplified version of it that can be easily memorized.
CASE 2: Manga
This is also easy. For "Wild and Horned Hermit, Chapter 23", just use:
<ref name="WaHH Ch23">Wild and Horned Hermit, Chapter 23</ref>
Then for the case where it's repeated, you use just this:
For all the other medias or documents, while there is not a specific method, you can always use some kind of easy to remember abbreviation as well, it's entirely up to you what to use, as long as the References are consistent with each other in formatting and wording.
Edit: To also have an instant understanding on what references are copies, you can copy-paste the list of references in the profiles to fix in a website that puts lists in alphabetical order, like
this one.
