Okay so Marvel published a poster for Doomsday, here it is.

Saw it in an article from an online journal in my country (France) and apparently, people have made some theories about it. Here's a little summary:

- The angelic figures of a woman and a child are obviously representing Doom's family, which he apparently lost in a mysterious accident, and his driving plan in the movies would be to find a way to bring them back including by wrecking havoc to the Multiverse. The article interestingly notes the two figures somehow look like Sue and Franklin, hence why Doom was in Sue's apartment at the end of First Steps;

- The planet below the figures is very likely to be Battleworld, perhaps created after Doom failed to bring his family back and decided to create his own new world from the universes he broke apart in his quest;

- If you look closely in the background on the right side of the tapestry, you'll notice a character with an arm raised in a pose that look strangely like Tony when he defeated Thanos and his army with his own snap in Endgame. According to the theories, this might suggest Tony's snap somehow caused Doom to lose his family, which would give him a personal reason and desire for revenge to go after the Avengers as he holds them responsible for his loss. This actually lines up with an interview with The Times in 2025 with the two directors saying there's a connection between Tony's death and Doom.

Also, the finger blocking shot on Doom's gauntlet reveals some strange symbols on it, seemingly runes. Combined with the logo of the movie resembling the Sanctum Sanctuary's glasses and the poster itself giving off a mystical vibe, it's all but confirmed Doom will use Magic as part of his arsenal.
That’s a pretty badass poster ngl. Gives me hope, albeit slim that someone knows what they’re doing.

I hope doom does a lot of magic abilities and isn’t just like brute strength and energy beams
Same tbh. Although I don’t like how Wanda was handled overall in the MCU, one of my favorite things about her as a villain is her varied power set. I know she had the red hexes, but it gets kinda boring (at least visually) when we get energy beam spamming antagonists

What's awesome about Doom is that, although he's not THE absolute best at any, he's enough of a master of both to actually be a strong threat even to the top guys and it gives him a very varied powerset that makes him utterly dangerous and unpredictable. The fact we have a Latverian witch here further supports the idea Doom will be using Magic and might even form a coven of his own (the art says "a" Latverian witch, implying there's more)

It’s one of my favorite things about Dr. Doom. He’s like an absolute Jack of All Trades, as one of the greatest supergeniuses and while being a master of magic. Helps that I’m a sucker for magitek lol.
