Yep, in his discord explanation of the result after the episode. His counter arguement of people saying anti-feat was something along the lines of 'it's funny how we are so rigid with stuff like this but king piccolo couldn't destroy a city yadda yadda'. Genuinely an embarrassing and dishonest way for a team member to conduct themselves

It wasn't at all a thing in the anime, and by manga Goku Black arc Vegeta should have god tier base form scaling already. So it's still inexcusable

The manga TN was also pretty cool, I'm guessing it's for recognition. This ain't a bad one by any means (actually kinda prefer Mahito in here contrast to looking in agony lol) but S1 Shiggy is kinda like using Anakin/pre ROTS for a Vader TN but the hands are also very iconic so eh.

I do think you're thinking validly low key. I don't think the fans hold DB accountable enough for many things, and it's good we understand criticism =/= hate inherently either. People can discuss this stuff maturely, after all.
 
Speaking of, part of me really doesn't want Ash vs Yugi to happen... if this was a friendly match sure, but seeing one of my childhood heroes geting killed is incredibly upsetting (nothing new in DB but still). Just hope that the more tame deaths for heroes of modern DB have the winner throw a ton of respect towards the loser.
 
Thanks to Ash, Gens 2, 3, 5, 6tho unless we count Mega Charizard X then no, 7 & 8 will get first time appearances, hopefully they get to fight or just appear in footage.

...Man Pokemon still just hasnt gotten many DBs. Weird.

According to our pages, his manga incarnation is High 7-C while his anime incarnation is 2-C. Knowing Death Battle, they'll probably composite both the manga and anime versions, as well as the 4Kids English dub version of Yugi, into one Yugi Muto.

Overlord has a shit ton of hax and optional equipment they can give them
Lara Croft VS Jill Valentine (Tomb Raider VS Resident Evil)
Giving Jill Wesker Scaling even though she has canonically got much weaker
Subject Delta VS Nemesis (Bioshock VS Resident Evil)
Refusing to give Delta a majority of his arsenal and wanking Nemsis with RE5 Wesker.

If VSW stats arent frauds, Yugi is at least equal, but likely superior for Solgaleo vs God cards. I was gonna say general strength might go to Ash, but apparently Dark Magician is also Tier 2, so uhhh I dunno how strong Yugi's lesser monsters are (is Dark Magician even a lesser one?).

Ash is likely faster, tho considering how Ash gives order and Yugi places cards, Id assume realistically Ash cant blitz everything, they both respond to moves in turns basically.

Since Pokemon are "Pocket Monsters", I see no reason to not allow Yugi's card effects to work. Yugi seemingly has way more deadly area effects like denying all attacks, while Ash really lacks them. Heck, if Gengar goes down Ash is supposedly kinda ****** in hax.

Ash himself, even if he resists some mind control, is not immune to it and direct attack ala Mind Crush probably should work.

Didnt watch Yugioh but I think this is it? That or you believe Gengar solos shrug

Dark Magician being one of the higher monsters of Yugi comes from Milennium World, where a lot of the battles are played out not with cards, but with an energy/life force system of "Ba" & "Ka". I forget the exact logics, but many liken it to Yu-Gi-Oh! but with Stands. It's from the manga.
The setup of Milennium World is kind of confusing because it's both memories & time travel or something? Again, I don't remember.
Mind, there are like, 3 or so card game duels in the Milennium World arc.
But most of the battles aren't card games in it.

But yeah, stuff related to that is why Dark Magician is one of his stronger monsters, among other details.
You may find it worth looking into.

Anne vs Luz, they would most likely scale Titan Luz to Collector even though it has been stated that Titan blood is specifically harmful towards things like Collector.
