I think the connections are relatively spoiler-free but if you're too afraid to read them, then the basic gist is "Highly skilled spies that become parts of weird families and end up developing actual familial bond with the other family members".
The full ones are:
- Blond-haired blue-eyed stoic chick-magnetic deadly badass soldiers turned spies who are hailed as the greatest spies in their worlds and take some inspiration from preexisting spy heroes (Brock is the Venture Bros. parallel of Race Bannon from Jonny Quest & Loid borrows some elements from James Bond).
- They’re main characters of action adventure comedy franchises where they were tasked with becoming part of extraordinary families (The Venture Family who are a family of super-scientists and adventurers & the Forger Family who are secretly a family of two professional killer parents and a psychic child) in order to get close to high-profile targets who happen to be deadbeat dads that play favorites (Son of late famous super-scientist Dr. Jonas Venture Sr. Dr. Rusty Venture who favors Dean Venture over Hank Venture & National Unity Party Chairman Donovan Desmond who favors Demetrius Desmond over Damian Desmond).
- Despite how they started off cold and having no intention of connecting with the families that they were tasked with taking care of and tend to act as the most levelheaded in, they gradually developed genuine love and care for them which especially include the main kids who were created and greatly mistreated by scientists (Hank and Dean Venture whose aforementioned super-scientist father tends to be a deadbeat asshole & Anya Forger who was strictly raised by the scientists who created her until she escaped from them) as they became loving father figures for them and would go to great lengths to protect them.
- Beneath their stoic badass personas lie men who feel guilty for how their violent actions have gone too far (Brock’s doubts of his lethal actions came to a head when he killed a helpless henchman & Loid’s blind hatred towards Ostanians caused lots of avoidable suffering) and have since vowed to control their rampant emotions.
- While they’ve attracted and seduced many women over the years, they’re main love interests happen to be black-clad enemy assassin ladies (Molotov Cocktease who’s constantly clashed with Brock in a complex love-hate relationship over the years & Yor Forger who works for Garden which targets anyone they deem a threat to Ostania which includes foreign spies like Loid).

Exactly. Because at least Game Knux would've made an entertaining cast because he already had strong enough arguments for similar tiering.
Why was Archie remotely necessary? It turned a decent match-up (while Piccolo vs Knux ain't ideal it at least has something there) into a pointless one.
Also Ben and his love for Archie yet disdain for the Games is bordering on meme-worthy

Piccolo got a upgrades thanks someone at toei wanting to give him a buff and AT giving him a bigger role in super hero while knux popularity bump was from the movie

Turns out the 2500 dollar tier (or 1500 add on) on the Kickstarter that said your match would be featured on the cast didn’t refer to an entire episode, but rather a small less than ten minute segment.
Some people didn’t even know their submission was on the cast until they heard about the controversy.
Of course people called it BS at first, but now the fanbase decided this is ok for reasons.

I uh... yeah this shit is scummy. I have no idea why some defended this or whatever, but like the fanbase has issues holding this show accountable for genuinely stupid stuff. Fans need to hold companies and people accountable in general.

They admitted it was bad, they didn't like it, and are trying to experiment with alternatives to fulfill the pledge to its fullest. So while a few eggs had to be cracked in order to see how this would hold up, they're doing their best to make it better. Which is why there's no use in crying over spilt milk, and people should move on until they see the next way the crew presents the pledge.

For Piccolo vs Knux, ngl, even if I think they use blackbox info for Capeshit and Bill, Im honestly not sure theyd use it for Sonic Super forms. So Knux would be stuck with just Uni AP and Quadrillions FTL, which ohmymultipliers and ohmycosmology would beat. Piccolo probably would win the DB.
