Persona question for 4 and 5.

This is a pretty weird and odd question out of the blue. But Are the velvet attendant fight's considered Canon?
I remember like awhile ago sometime when P5 released I saw a few arguments against them being Canon. Notably them being NG+ exclusive with the exception of Liz.

They should be. They being locked behind NG+ is more or less a game gimmick.
In Persona 4, for example, the battle against margaret gives great context to what happens post Persona 3, it also happens in the anime (i know it's not canon but still)
The battle against elizabeth is probably 100% canon tho.

I don't think there was any debate about Liz’ fight. It’s 100% canon. Since you don’t need to NG+ to fight her.
