Still, it was good enough, much of the explanations made sense and holy hell, some of the scenes such as Metal one-shotting Bowser, decking Kamek, and KO'ing Junior, the punch out between Fury and Death Egg Robot, and The Death Egg firing while Bowser tried to defend his troops from it were all bloody highlights to this

I disagree with the fight HEAVILY (not mentioning some of Sage's abilities, Nightmare Eggman, and Light Man not even being included - though I do like the alternate outcomes showing how it could've gone, and it became super clear who they were going to have win when they had that whole 'Bowser's army is family whereas Eggman is only a schemer' during their run downs which made it less interesting.) This was definetly a super fun fight

Honestly I don’t blame Desth Battle for being confused on how the Phantom Ruby actually worked, not even Sonic Forces can agree on what exactly it does.

Did they even give a reason why Sage would just give up or how Bowser deals with her if he can't kill her? Or did they just give up?

I don't think the average viewer knows about maginaryworld and I don't think they'd spend the time explaining it to be a multiversal construct ext, they didn't mention dream depot either

I think it was mostly just an animation thing. Realistically how are you going to manage to fit that in with the proper setup. I'm just happy they used alternate outcomes to circumvent this

The fight was Bowser's army versus Eggman's army. They had Metal win back in Wily. But who cares. I am free of these threads. At least thanks to the Death Battle I was able to find out Roblox is canon and other stuff.

Once again, the Phantom Ruby is vague and contradictory in Forces itself and Bowser can be argued to have his more potent hax readily available compared to Eggman. Once again, the debate is literally a coin flip so I don’t think neither the researchers/Ultraguy nor Death Battle were trying to actively screw over Eggman.

I am surprised that not many people made that comparison sooner, the only difference is that researchers weren’t cyberbullied and impersonated to get them fired nor was the discussion page locked for extended periods of time for Bowsegg.

Not really, but I already expect Sonic needing explicit proof for everything he does versus any other series in Death Battle.

Holy shit I forgot that happened with billcord........man that episode had a really toxic buildup. Bowsegg gets a poitn for best pre fight waiting period
 
I have to say that this was genuinely one of the best Death Battle episodes ever. While I think I disagree with the outcome (I'm not very knowledgeable on the Sonic franchise, so this website is my only reference for where Eggman and co. should be scaled), everything else was genuinely great! The next time is whatever, but eh, it might be fun.

My main guess was that with the Death Egg turned into a block shortly before Eggman got Team Rocket'd into it, it could be assumed she was still in it and got transmuted along or she couldn't get a proper adjustment or there wasn't anything around she could effectively use to counter in time...

And they forgot she had BFR too
