Animals are different then humans, compared to us they are superhuman in some regards, but they aint supernatural, which in the context of real life and fiction is used to refer to stuff like ghosts, devils, angels etcIt comes from latin. The term literally refers to things that are beyond the natural order, science being unable to explain them is more a side-effect of the fact that they are beyond science's purview. Superhuman means 'above human', and there are plenty of things in real life that are superhuman in some respect, lions, tigers, bears (oh, my!)
