Siglos glanced at her blankly for a moment, before his eyes widened in understanding.

“Oh! T-the eh...physical readiness t-test!” He said nodding. His voice carried a pronounced accent to it, soft...but distinctively Persian, should she recognize it.

“I-I eh...failed my f-first try, b-but managed to...pass, the s-second time. B-barely, anyway. I'm a...b-bit more athletic t-than I look, I assure you...” He said. He flashed her a small smile, though the light blush on his cheeks made it clear he was a bit embarrassed.
"Maybe once we get through this storm and all, I can help you out a little in that department. I did MMA before enlisting."

"Today will be a long day" Marcus thought, ready to continue.

(Hhhhh should ask Kentoria her name or all our uniforms have our names like in the normal navy of some countries?)

(Ah, well, I had my doubts since I only remember it from a few movies)

"Marcus McGrath, I'm a Marine, Lance Corporal rank, nice to meet you miss ...?" he said making a small formal gesture.
"Juinor Grade Lieutenant Kentoria. Nice to meet you, Lance Corporal McGrath." Kentoria simply responded

Siglos hesitated for a moment, before chuckling slightly.

"O-oh? I...did not know you were a-a fighter, Miss Douglas. w-what was that like?" He asked softly.
"Well, it felt good to use my hands for something and not get reprimanded for it. You only get a couple of fights a year, but I did some Muay Thai tournaments since I heard they get more action in a year."

"Yup, that's the one," Kennedy answered, "But yeah, I wouldn't mind teaching you and helping you toughen up a little."
Siglos smiled sheepishly, and slowly nodded.

"Do you eh...k-know that...one m-martial arts? W-with the...eh...submission techniques. I think it was called...Jiu...jitsu?" He asked.

"...I...e-enjoyed learning g-grappling techniques w-when I was a-at...basic t-training...I-i'd love to learn m-more...if y-you'd l-like t-to teach me..."

"I could teach you the Thai clench, though admittedly it requires being at least comparable to your opponent in terms of strength." Palaria said, appearing behind Siglos

"Yeah. Grappling is one of my personal favorite things to do," She said, "If you get that down, that can take you a long way until we get into striking."

Kennedy giggled a little bit.

"Oh yeah, that's a good one to learn," She said, thinking back to what happened resulting in her getting the small cut on her forehead, "But don't worry about the strength thing either, Lieutenant Abel. I can help with that, too. You'll probably feel like vomiting and hate me for the next few months, but you'll be fine."

“Oh...e-eh....we do not need to go t-that far! J-just... learning a f-few techniques would be fine!” Siglos said, chuckling nervously.

“My...fellow engineers a-already work me to the bone, a-as is...” He said softly.

Siglos glanced towards Palaria, straightening ever so slightly.

“Oh! Y-you eh...need not worry about me, ma’am. Douglas's training should be...m-more than sufficient...” He said, flashing her a small smile.

"Well maybe you can use what I teach you to keep them in line next time," She said, turning to Palaria, "That was a joke, by the way."

Siglos snickered, shaking his head.

"...You are...v-very funny, Miss Douglas" Siglos said, a wide smile on his face.

"...It w-would be...i-inappropriate to a-ask a favor of a s-stranger without o-offering one of my own, though. I-is there...eh...anything I c-could do for you? I am...quite g-good at w-weapon upkeep, i-if you have any...armaments in need of repair."

"I think it's good for the time being, but if something happens, I'll let you know," She said, lightly punching his arm, "And if pairing up is all we need to do for now, I think I can at least get started telling you what I have planned for you."

"Of course, like any trope before a tragic event..."
"It's nothing to joke about, okay? Just... be ready to start saving lives." Palaria said, turning and looking worried, only around Iezuyhbel would she let the dead calm Lieutenant part drop, to reveal that she was actually worried about things

"No need to point out the obvious... <sips tea>... it's our job..."

"If anything happens, I want you on the bridge first thing, getting everyone on-deck is top priority, and get some of the privates to help fortify Medic Gibraltr's med bay, we need it for possible injuries." Palaria ordered, quickly walking off and spotting Marcus "Where's your dance parter Lance Corporal?" She asked in a stern tone once she'd reached her underling, Palaria was normally light and fun, but occasionally she had moments where she began to get extremely serious
