Re-read the chapter, Zombieman uses a wrist mechanism to pull back the Desert Eagles (That still have the improved ammunition as he didn't recharge or change ammo after just firing once), he fights with machetes for a while with Pureblood and then uses the wrist mechanism again to equip the same Desert Eagle and shoots Pureblood.
