Revising Dragon Ball Flight Speed (Dragon Ball + DBZ + DBS Manga)

But yeah the blog is good, thanks for your hard work I'd say let some people who were really involved in earlier discussions see this as well by pinging them just so it doesn't seem like this progresses without people knowing
 
Wouldn't a note on the profiles or verse page stating their speed is slower when flying longer distances consume a lot less time and basically establish the same thing?

Writing individual notes for every profile seems like it would take a while unless it was written generically, though an explanation text for the profiles as well as the verse page is fine.

We're watching they chatting with their POV, so even if Gohan and Goku were MFTL+ at that point, the point of not fly at full speed holds, we're trapped in their super speed time-frame.

Just started working on Gohan's speed ratings since I noticed I had forgotten him until now, and I've got to ask... why does he even have an Androids Saga key? He does nothing in throughout that whole saga IIRC except save Piccolo from Dr. Gero. His ratings & justifications are:

Attack Potency: At least Dwarf Star level+ (Superior to his Frieza Saga self)

Speed: At least FTL+

Striking Strength: At least Dwarf Star Class+

Durability: At least Dwarf Star level+


Very minimal as far as keys go. I propose we remove this key from Gohan. Is that okay? @DarkDragonMedeus @AKM sama
 
I don't mind merging it with Frieza saga key, but noting he should be stronger after his three year training within that same key.

There are several examples of feats like this but nobody will ever give a shit because Dragon Ball is a pet verse because of how well established it is in Vs Debating websites and so it is simply not analyzed with any level of scrutiny like a series that's releasing now would be.

That was a great example of speed on short burst. Both Gohan and Krillin went at their absolute limit speed, that's why their "normal" long travel speed is slower. It's not proof of the characters being slow, 'cause there are various feats that confirmed blasts of ki like that of Reecome are at the very least FTL.
 
Are there any important characters missing from the sandbox? I can't believe I missed Gohan before, but I did, so there could be more.
 
Majority of the profiles are updated in the sandbox now - just working through Goku's and Vegeta's.

Son Goten and Trunks also need updated justifications; they're both scaling to each other and I'm not sure what to put for them that is different. Perhaps scaling Goten to Gohan.

They are scaling to Buu saga Gohan.
 
Anyway on PC right now, so a quick question for the issue, i remember that Buu was stated to be universal threat, however with MHS+ and 4-B AP, how can he be universal threat??, with the size of DB's Living Universe i don't thing so. Old Kai stated that after he done with the universe, Kaioshin realm is the next, and from the context, it should be very fast, so with a 4-B AP, MHS+ travel speed make no sense at least for Buu, and again he will die if he encounter any Black Hole in his path unless DB's universe have no Black Hole, but again Daizenshuu stated DB's Living Universe is closely resemble our universe.

The timeframe for Gotenks flying around the Earth seems to completely ignore the fact that the beginning of his aura trail hadn't even dissipated even after he completed those laps, which would make the timeframe a lot lower than an entire minute, let alone 14.

I don't think that really means anything; the aura trail was left up so show him actually circling the Earth. There is no "set time" for the aura disappearing.

As does it indicate the timeframe that this happened, since the manga always shows how their auras dissipate momentarily in these instances.

When has Buu ever been near a black hole?
 
Something more clear cut is the fact that he was an immediate imminent threat to planets with life (since he targeted life first) in the timeframe of Goku and co. having a conversation to come up with a simple plan.
 
Buu's attacks are still MFTL+ in any case, and who knows, they might have expected him to use Goku's Instant Transmission since they know he can copy techniques and he has seen Goku teleport before.

It still doesn't affect the majority of profiles here.

Once I finish updating Goten, Trunks, Vegeta and Son Goku in the sandbox, I'll see if DDM or AKM is okay with it being applied to the profiles.

If that was the case then they wouldn't have said that he wouldn't make it to the Kaioshin Realm before they came up with a plan. And they were in complete devastated shock when they saw that he had copied it and clearly didn't anticipate it.

Yeah, but all of them have the same unanimous reaction of complete shock and dumbfound to seeing him get there, and tbf Goku (who was the one that described that he wouldn't make it to the Kaioshin Realm soon) also reiterated his own confirmation of Buu being an immediate threat to other living beings.

And for the record, I should add that the "ends of the universe" phrase is just the typical Viz dubbing, and in the original he simply says "to another planet, or wherever", and basically this statement doesn't sound remotely as hyperbolic/flowery as Viz made it sound (since I know this topic would've come up otherwise).

And he is clearly going to do this via flagging Goku's Ki down and flying there as we literally see.
