I personally really liked 168. It was a perfect ending to Garou's character arc without ending his life truly.
I liked it but I want the ending redrawn for more clarification on what happens after time travel. (also want Saitama to remember, because that's important for character development)

I think he will remember, slowly, his biggest clue as to what happened is the core. Saitama ought to put the pieces together because even if he defeated Cosmic Garou, God is still watching and anything could happen so Saitama can't half ass it again like before or he would just have postponed that ominous future.

Guess we'll find out.

Thank god. I really wasn't feeling chapter 168. especially that dumbass fart scene. it was so stupid
the fart scene is a masterpiece, showing not only saitama's comical strength, but also the tactical capabilities of saitama as a martial artists that was alluded to since the fight against the dream subterraneans, as he hilariously does a serious fart but also does it in such a way that it helps gain an edge against garou by pulling out a technique that he has yet to copy, and using it to catch up to him when it would otherwise be doom
the serious fart is truly the best work provided by murata ever......

Also the "redraws" were already applied and it was fixing some inconsistencies with Saitama's clothing and a slightly modified explanation of the time travel stuff.

Murata posts redraw tomorrow:

Saitama and Monster Garou sitting back at the table -

"Is that how you imagined it was going to go?"

Can someone tell me where the talk of a 168 redraw is coming from? I'm half convinced we're mistaking a tweet Murata made about revising chapter 169 roughs for a proper 168 redraw

I guess people thinking revising is synonymous with redraw?

I don't Murata will straight up change the entire plot like he did with first Garou fight, but rather change some moments and art. I doubt the plot will change much, but feats might change

So, did Saitama’s fart make him catch up through the portal, or did he literally fart from Io to Earth?
It's mostly implied that he propelled himself through the portal. Not to mention, even if the OPM world and Saitama obviously aren't necessarily limited to a lot of standard principles in physics, a fart propelling him to Earth in seconds at most is a little too ridiculous.

my brother in christ he sneezed jupiter to death

I think he prolly followed through the portal as well. Though here we don't see Saitama behind him yet so..

In all fairness, a sneeze produces vastly more power than a fart does on average. Hell, some people have suffered severe and even crippling injuries from sneezing hard enough or holding it in.

Either way though, an MFTL fart. Even for OPM standards that's a bit much.

should we make a crt about saitama and garou's achievements in IO month now or soon? There have been a lot of calculations regarding their achievements there, right?

As long as it's Saitama, it would make sense.

True but if the time travel copout was redrawn it'd be great.
No lmao. That was by far the best route Murata and ONE could have gone with. How would the story progress with morem than half of the cast dead?

-No Psychic Sisters Arc
-No Genos
-Entire Earth in shambles
-Solar System disoriented
-No S-Class Heroes other than Drive Knight, Metal Knight and Watchdog Man
-Much more.

Or ya know, don't murder them?

People arguing against them be like:

And refuse to say how Garou doesn't win for those reasons.
Well my favourite verses are all pants-shittingly cosmic so I think I am personally justified in using this argument.

As someone who loves Fubuki and Tatsu equally and has them both as my favorite female characters I hate watching idiots fighting over them, can't feel the same for Saitama and Goku cause I ******* hate that jobber monkey

There wasn't even confirmation that everyone was dead until 168. From the looks of it, most people were under the belief that they all fainted, which is understandable because nothing even suggested that they had died at all, there were no heavily dark tones to even imply it, it just looked like they were defeated, not that they were outright killed, with only Genos being an exception. And even then, Genos could easily have been brought back through a variety of methods.

Time manipulation is the most cliche cop-out card authors use across virtually all of fictional media. It's very boring, predictable and unoriginal. I even predicted that time travel was a way ONE could reverse the huge narrative leaps these chapters have made. It completely destroys a lot of development as well by basically erasing everything important that happened in the fight at all. Not to mention, now that we know it can be done, that means the time reversal cop-out is fully viable to be used again in the future, which also isn't great.
