STRONGEST One-Punch Man Discussion Thread!

I love that Groribas got 1 page in the Manga and got 1 shot, but yet is at least in the top 15 most powerful characters in the verse right now by sheer AP, not even counting his acid breath.

lmao this shit happens in dragon ball all the time. in early episodes, we see characters obliterate entire galaxies and travel the universe in 2 microseconds, and then in the final battle everyone gets shocked by the villain because he destroyed a couple buildings and moved at near light speeds. fantastic

One Punch Man is guilty of it too already tbh.

Garou: splits a giant centipede literally big enough to see the curvature of the planet when standing up.

Also Garou: "This guy...is tougher than a mountain."

lmao i remember when suiryu punched saitama and said "how did he survive that attack! it was strong enough to pulverize a semi!". According to ONE himself, suiryu is truck level. and suiryu was stated to be as strong as G4 genos, so G4 genos is also truck level, which makes DSK much weaker than truck level since he got rekt by G4 genos /s

I swear, mangakas do NOT know how to be consistent with their character's power levels

The weight of an average semi truck is 25,000 pounds or 11,340 kilograms and they are made mostly of aluminum.

Density of aluminum is 2700 kg/m^3.

Volume = 11340/2700 = 4.2 m^3 or 4200000 cm^3

Pulverization of aluminum is 280 j/cm^3.

Energy = 4200000 x 280 = 1176000000 Joules, 0.28 Tons of TNT (Building level)

Therefore I can confirm pulverizing a semi is building level and not truck level 🗿

On another note, would there be any reason to scale Webcomic Mirror's AP via energy blasts to his durability?

He isn't shown taking his from S-Class (though it's highly likely he can) or his own blasts.

What form of fictional entertainment is? That dragon maid anime has the most consistently OP characters who average out with at least city levels of destruction but can be hurt by running into trees. Idaten has literal gods who can shrug off being punched through glaciers but later someone being unaffected by a boulder smashing into someones head with the force of denting it is deemed a monster to him. Arceus, in the same movie where he caused universe comparable dimensions to collide with each other, got taken out by a meteor and had trouble wiping out a bunch of Pokemon. Not even Legendary, but fodder Pokemon.

The Flash's clone from that one TV series we now pretend doesn't exist was shot by Iris despite being literally Flash who was fast enough to grab a bullet that was literally already drilling into his skin.

Wonder Woman can be hurt by bullets.

Hell, due to RPGs like Shin Megami Tensei, cosmic, high tier entities can be hurt by bullets.

Wall level characters can still be killed by bullets.

Inconsistencies are not at all limited to mangakas. Also, I don't know about the web comic, but manga Genos feats originally didn't look that impressive in hindsight. He blasted a street without destroying the buildings and he literally destroyed a four story building. All his feats are all calculated at levels far above what they originally seemed. Building level Genos is completely understandable unlike the aforementioned moments or Garou being horrified of a mountain level feat.

Hell, even vs battle debaters think naruto characters can't outpace a gun despite people literally avoiding sound based attacks when they were twelve or opened up with a feat where speed of light movement was palpable and they're people who even care (or pretend to care) about these kinds of inconsistencies.
