Oleander isn't summoning Fred right away. She only bothered after a long, drawn out battle, and that's not really happening when she gets killed by everyone almost right away.

Plus, he still needs the book to be around even then.
Okay then...

Honestly, both sides are presenting solid arguments/counterarguments. Mori and Horobi are basically dead-even, Ming has Soul Manipulation while Mirio has intangibility.

Honestly, because this match is too close to call, I'm changing my vote to inconclusive.

Same. I vote Incon.

I need to tell you that this isn't just Oleander choosing what to do. In a team fight mirio and Mori can tell her to use X ability to help the team. Strategy is a huge thing when in 3, so abilities aren't that out of character anymore. All 3 combattants 2 of which are extremely well versed in this kind of stuff are there to tell her what is a good ability to use.

Ming is 8 tons, that's just plain 8-B if he 8-B one-shot, you can't argue otherwise. A x1.25 Ap advantage is not enough to one-shot no-one, and anything above is 8-B.
Yes solar plexus and jaw hits go brrrr
I guess she can now stop a 7-B projectile unless it has proof of having a lot of mass. I mean, fine if you want to argue for that, but not very widely applied logic there.
The thing is, if the projectile causes a 7-B explosion that doesn't mean you need to lift mountains to stop it. It's like saying you need class P lifting strength to lift the Tsar Bomba. Horobi's projectiles similarly explode.
However, your argument relying on "she will use an ability in a way she hasn't show to be able to because she needs it here". She hasn't shown the ability to TK any particularly large objects. Like, not even non-superhuman levels of lifting strength. You cannot argue that her lifting and bringing a book around mid air is enough to say she can TK danmaku out of the air, when the only way to beat her in story mode is to spam throwing a rope around her.
Thing is...the danmaku projectiles aren't particularly large either. And again the "she doesn't do it usually" just means "it's not in character", so not an opening move, not "she wouldn't use it even if she were about to die".
And let's not act like no damages will be taken throughout battle besides defeat. Either Mori or Mori and Mirio are getting paralyzed and hit at least a few times.
Depends on the opponent. If mirio takes out Ming (which i said above how he would accomplish that and why he's much more likely to win that fight), i don't see anyone else hurting him. He is the invincible hero after all.

No, she can't, is physically unable to, summon it. She needs to charge up her magic gauge, which either means starting to read and becoming stationary for up to ten seconds to fully fill it, or taking a second here and there while not using magic to reach max magic.

She uses telekinesis to lift a book. She loses, because projectile attacks can hit her, in story. She can't use telekinesis to stop projectiles.

Mirio and especially Mori can definitely protect her for that much. Mori's AoE will stop most things thrown at her for that much time.

That is textbook game mechanics though? She can lift things heavier than a rope, but he can't lift a rope with TK? Come on risci.

That's in story mode. The mode that specifically alters her whole fighting style and moves, making it impossible to hit her without using the rope. That is not game mechanics, that is design.

And, no? They aren't omnipresent. Mirio would need to go tangible and start parrying that stuff, and Mori would also need to move there. If they do that then they will be busy with an enemy's ranged attack, and they can't relatiate against that from a long range.

Mori and Mirio need to move in close to attack, and they can't do that and protect a teammate.

Still doesn't change that she has used TK on things with similar weight before.

Mirio can protect her by punching everyone up with Phantom Menace, Mori doesn't need to move he has AoE.

Mirio has the ground warp and Mori has AoE.

Sorry folks, has been out for a real long while. Yesterday has been rough but I’m here now.

I’m very doubtful that Orleander can survive the first volley of Horobi danmaku. And actually from discussing with my teammate. Akim also start off with a huge ass laser that chunk a good deal of mountain off. So yeah there’s really not a lot that Orleander can do other than to maybe teleport away repeatedly. And she also have a clear limited resource from what I’ve seen as well.

Have she ever shown the abilities to TK to stop energy attack? Because that’s what she’s going to be bombarded by. Otherwise you could argue that every character with TK can do the same.

If any of them suddenly were to be open up by, say, Ming’s stun. Horobi’s Acid Analyser goes extendo by almost ten or so meters and they are basically done for the fight. It take 4 seconds for Horobi to completely atomized a Humagear whole. And I’m very sure that none of them resists either Deconstruct or Status Effect Inducement.

If either Mori or Mirio goes into CQC on Horobi he can easily bail out by shooting the ground once and escape because of his Stealth Mastery. And I don’t understand how Mori having Enhanced Senses that doesn’t rely on technology help against detecting Horobi or unless I’m missing something.

But if he does stand his ground then he either just dodge against Mirio or buy himself time by summoning his Rider Lost Model to protect himself. Rider Lost Model tank Breaking Impact from Zero-One’s Breaking Mammoth form. Zero-One Breaking Mammoth is immensely superior to the Giger which can do damage against Zero-One Shining Assault Hopper form. So his forcefield will most likely hold up quite well against Mori’s assault.

Welp that just goes to prove the point i was making earlier with the "overplaying your character's capabilities". That's one hell of a way to be misleading my guy.

I use that not because of it’s potency. But because of it’s range.

Akim shooting that in the team’s general direction practically guaranteed a hit on at least 1 of them with ease with how large the AoE is. There really isn’t a way for Oleander to dodge out of the way and blocking just make her sitting duck for Horobi’s Danmaku to eat her alive.

Thank god Ming is like 1 shot for Mirio amirite?

Mori just whips his legs once and all the explosion dust is gone though.

That would be legit if Mori didn't have giant dragon summoning that can nuke quite a good portion of the place.

Mori can intercept it with his dragons.

From what i've seen, tthebracket creator uses a software to randomly pick one of the teams to proceed.
Basically a coin toss.

I don't think this is really controversial. But do the votes from the team players count? If yes imma say inconc too.
I'm not counting team player votes, no, although I was sort of expecting votes to finish a lot faster since we had 24+ participants.

It has been fun and interesting however, I don't like it finishing in this way, but I guess that's the only possible outcome.
Although, I could go on reading the arguments and possible scenarios of each side for days.
