Why do so many of Saitama's matches have Speed Equalized?

Is it because it gives him an unfair advantage over other characters? His speed is part of what makes him Saitama.

Two of his attacks are based on speed too: 'Consecutive Normal Punches' and 'Serious Consecutive Side Hops', as silly as their names are.

The same could be said for so many characters here on this wiki, but we need to equalize speed for there to be an actual fight, and not devolve into lolblitz.

Side hops are not an attack and Saitama's consecutive punches are not speed-based, it's just him punching the enemy multiple times in a row. And as Gemmysaur said, if we didn't equalize speed, fights that would be otherwise fair would turn into speed stomps.

yeah but most characters have TONS of other abilities that they can still use even if speed is equalized. speed is like 50% of saitama's abilities (the other being strength). unlike dbz or naruto characters, saitama cant fly, shoot energy blasts, use telepathy, telekinesis, etc. he only has speed and strength. thats what makes him him. equalizing saitama's speed is like equalizing the Flash's speed.
