Who is the most powerful Psychic Type Pokemon and Digimon?

I heard you people like trolling the haxless bricks by bringing characters who can mindhax them? So do I because mind control beats bricks 24/7. So this brings ups an interesting question of mine, who is the most powerful Pokemon and Digimon that knows the greatest psychic power? Can someone please tell me?!

Arceus. He's every type so he counts as a psychic type.

If you think that's a copout then probably Uxie

It has the ability where it erases all your memories just by opening its eyes.

Ah, they'd be equal AP wise. Unless you take stats to mean anything relative to one another, in which case Azelf is slightly stronger and Uxie is slightly more durable.

What about Digimon? Who is the most powerful Psychic Type Digimon?

Hoopa Unbound is above the Lake Trio combined in terms of psychic power since he can control the entirity of the Creation Trio, while the LT can only affect either Dialga or Palkia and can't affect Giratina at all

Oranguru by far. We know that they can use Pokeballs and Command Pokémon, along with being notably intelligent. If a determined child could beat criminal teams and capture legendary Pokémon then imagine what a genius with Instruct could do.

1. Oranguru is not even comparable to the likes of Alakazam or Mewtwo

2. The pokemon protagonists are not just determined kids, they are uniquelly dotated and vastly better that most other people in the verse

Nothing that they do in game would be that impressive for a noted genius with the right tools. Orangurus noted in the Pokédex to both skillfully mimic trainers and be able to match Slowkings in wits. That is definitely more then comparable to the protagonists. They are even noted to care for sick Pokémon, meaning that one would definitely be at least just as good as a human trainer.

Alakazam's intelligence feats from the Pokedex and Mewtwo's everything is better than that

Slowking is smart yes, but doesn't hold a candle to the aformentioned 2, he's the level of award-inning scientists, while Alakazam has an IQ of 9000.

The protagonists are able to outbattle and catch each and every pokemon, including Oranguru itself, and are able to go on and defeat the best of the best in their region [Elite Four and Champion], which have way more experience.

Also, Oranguru can only give simple commands and that's nowhere near as what actual pokemon battles look like

Caring for sick pokemons is just being kind, not smart, many other pokemons like Chansey and Delibird do it

Yeah but unlike Oranguru, Alakazam doesn't tend to work with and train other Pokémon, which makes him far weaker in any fight without strict rules forcing a 1v1.

I am unsure if we can use Trainers catching them in gameplay as an example as gameplay and the Pokédex lore are very inconsistent.

How is Oranguru, with his relatively high intellect, limited in his commands? Are you referring to Instruct, which is explicitly a special move that even gets around certain other moves like Torment.

Caring for sick Pokémon is actually a good sign. Friendship is legitimately important for trainers is some versions of the Pokémon setting.

Firstly this is psychic power only, not overall power, and second Alakazam had access to every psychic ability and so his sheer quality outstrips the number advantage

Third, Mewtwo says hi and mentally forces the entire race of Oranguru to cease and desist

It's not game mechanics since it's the premise of the serie, that trainers train pokemons to bring out their potential

have you ever seen a competitve pokemon battle ?

also Instruct allows only to repeat the last move a pokemon has used

Important yes, but morale will only bring you so far

oh, and don't forget Hoopa Unbound, who can force the embodiments of time, space and anti-matter to do his bidding.

Yeah but all of those Pokémon can be dealt with by trainers, which Oranguru can likely match going off of the Pokédex.

I already explained Instruct so we can skip that point (It is not just instructing, it gets around Torment, gameplay elements, and has a psychic typing, suggesting that it is more then just him giving an order.)

Bonds are actually very important in parts of the series, in Masters, the shitty gacha game, they make a point of it bringing out potential and in some games you are benefited by being nice to your Pokémon.

I have seen VGC in occasion, what's your point. Oranguru's big brain should let him strategize on a high level.

Said trainers can also easilly deal with Orangaru, so no, he can't hold a candle to them

Bypassing Torment doesn't really mean anything

No proof for that
