Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Also I'm gonna bring up Spelunky again to note that it's a genuinely good game, but it tries way too hard to be difficult and it just gets genuinely tedious as well as really f.cking annoying to the point where you just want to uninstall it
I love games that are really hard, for example Doom and Doom 2 are some of my favorite games, but with Spelunky it just feels like it tries too much to be vague and tough and goes from a fun but challenging game to a downright obnoxious game that makes me want to tear my hair out. Also without looking up a bunch of stuff on the wiki and Youtube it's practically impossible to get the true ending because it's a shit ton of guessworking through all 4 worlds as well as praying you won't die to any annoying enemies while trying to get through all 4 worlds or else you'll have to start it all over again (shortcuts don't even work in the route for the true ending). It genuinely feels like some type of rage game or an elaborate parody of one.

So yeah, **** that game, if anyone ever considers playing it you should probably just get Pizza Tower instead. Also kind of hard at times but it's actually fun and doesn't feel like the people who made it are trying to make you turn into the Hulk.

And Red Eyes still gets squat as per usual, is it too much to ask for a coherent and fun strategy that's rogue tier? (Is REBD a burn deck?, a Rank 7 XYZ engine?, a fusion spam deck?, who knows?).
 
Playing Y3, just beat Lau Ka Long. Unironically easier now than the red shirt dude in the first chapters. He is still difficult but the trick is basically to just run away, run in, grab, throw, kick, run away, repeat. When he goes bare hands just komaki parry and use the down slam attack that breaks through guards. The claws phase got me scared because he just infinite combo'd but then I did the right thing and pulled out a sword I bough. Defeated him pretty handily. Overall, at least I could actually grab him for most of the fight and even then I had access to weapons. F to those doing it in hard mode.

For skills only mack revs and komaki training are worth it. The rest just goes to basic leveling up which only gave me a few good moves thus far and mostly come from boss exp

It's so funny man, you should watch it. I know that's just my opinion and it's subjective but I believe it's really funny and entertaining most of the time.

However, Gege doesnt suck Sukuna's balls as much as Kubo with Aizen. Not in a trillion of years

I don't see how it's similar to Family Guy at all, for one it doesn't even have the cutaway gags or constant pop culture references. Not to mention it has WAY more potential with Roger's existence alone, and the Smith family is better than the Griffins, for example I'm usually more invested in episodes about Steve than episodes about Chris. Hayley feels like an actual character and not a punching bag unlike Meg (btw Meg being a punching bag isn't even justified, she hardly does anything wrong, her getting shat on all the time is just annoying and sad), Francine is more interesting than Lois (and much hotter than her), so on and so forth. I'd think American Dad is better than Family Guy even without Roger or Stan existing because it's just so much more interesting and has better comedy than it as well. For example:

It's kind of like Family Guy if Peter was jacked, Lois was more interesting, Chris was... honestly not that different, Meg was more interesting, Brian was more interesting, and Stewie wasn't actually the ******* worst.

And also if essentially every other aspect was less annoying.
 
Honestly the only adult show that makes me actually kind of mad/upset that it's not very good is Rick and Morty. Don't get me wrong, it does have some great episodes, but it's usually just not that entertaining or funny to me, which is sad because I think the show has a ton of potential.

That's real. The plot would be so much more interesting if it wasn't immensely boring. Like, the idea of them going into Valhalla to farm gear so they can fight the Pope while, simultaneously, Sasquatch is being contained in prison, is a funny-ass idea, but then they have to do the "haha Rick is OP because he's so smart, look at him," shit.

nah, i'd say it has a good enough reason to be loved.
First it combined several horror elements with intense shonen action which isn't something you see that often. It happens on our earth with no exceptions, making it feel more relatable, had amazing action and the anime made it look peak beyond question.
I think it's very much reasonable that it is loved to this extent.
Humans are simple creatures, they like things that go boom and look good while doing so. Sure, maybe a show like, for example, Bungou Stray Dogs has far better plot and vibes, but it doesn't go boom enough for it to have that big of an audience.

Overall, to win the publics attention you need three things
Action+Quality+Nice vibes
