Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Economic Inflation and Taxes
I am no economic expert, just a normal guy, but I tell you what I do know. Inflation in my state has gone too far, everything is too expensive and when I travel to other states, I look at them and their prices are way lower. A snack here costs like 5 dollars when before it costed way less. And if you want to eat something that will fill your stomach, it will cost around 10 dollars. That's outrageous and a sign that the US government is not improving our economy as much as it should.

But I think it is mostly a state issue, I have traveled to other states, and they don't have the same issues with groceries and fast food being expensive. Maybe that's a sign to move to another state or to try to vote my way out of this situation (Tough luck, most of the citizens of my state voted for the status quo historically) but I wouldn't say it is that much of an issue. It is an inconvenience, yes, but I can at least still buy groceries and food.

Though at this point, I avoid fast food as much as possible. They were something you could buy even when you're poor, but now you kinda have to treat them like normal restaurants due to how expensive they have gotten. And that's a shame, it didn't use to be this way. We need a return to form.

To counter the expenses of fast food restaurants, I just prefer to cook at home. Sometimes I make pasta, other times I make rice and for breakfast I eat sandwiches. That is all better than spending nearly ten dollars on Burger King for something that tastes awfully and barely fills my stomach.

Shrinkflation is an issue too, I have noticed that a lot of bread, food, chocolate, cereal, everything has gotten smaller. In order to maintain similar prices, they give us smaller portions of food. I was disheartened when I bought bread, and it had fewer slices than before. I fell to my knees and cried, "How could the government do this to me?" and then I got up and made myself a sandwich.

As for taxes, I can't say I am too bothered by them. I wouldn't say they're very expensive, on at least the stuff that I have bought before. But I wish the money spent our taxpayer money on better things than starting and dropping wars, drones and nukes in foreign countries. I don't get it, does the Israel-Palestine war boost our economy our something? I would prefer if we had a more isolationist mindset rather than interfere in eternal wars so much.

Either way, the point is that I would much rather if the money we spent on war got reduced, and we started spending more taxpayer money on welfare like healthcare and housing. I know the libertarian argument against this is to let everyone on their own, but I think libertarians are silly people, and I wouldn't mind if my money was spent to help others and the money of others was spent to help me.

That being said, there is a thing as too much welfare, look at the UK. The people there use welfare as an alternative for working rather than as a safety net or as a helping hand that lets them work and that ***** over their economy badly because now you have a bunch of leeches that prefer to laze around and get help from the government rather than to provide to society, despite being perfectly capable of working.

So we should strike a balance, we should have welfare that helps our children, the ill, the disabled, the seniors, the retired, the veterans, but we should prevent perfectly healthy people from leeching from this system.

You could but at most you would get like a 100 times difference between a Max lvl Pekka and a lvl 1 Goblin

Edit 1 : Checked one or two calcs and it seems Pekka could be 512.0496 Tons (8A) at Max Level
At most I'd be using it to scale one above the other. Otherwise, if we did go according to your logic, MOMMA and COOKIE would be like Low 7-C

political rants are strongly not advised, thanks

While we are at it abt CoC, Clash-A-Rama was absolutely peak and i loved it a lot when i was actively playing clash
Playing CoC was the most fun thing you could do in 2015-17

Me and my friends gathered at night to plan our Raids on Messenger or Call and Boy winning Wars gave me the biggest dopamine boost.

Sadly I quit once everyone else did because of Clash Royale and the cycle just repeats there

CoC has gotten more f2p friendly and is easily better than CR atm. CR is bogged down by balance issues and gemmers but CoC has a fairer system and is way more enjoyable now.

Yall are tempting me to go back to Clash of Clans again... dammit.... I dont need another gacha game to spend money on... just now I spent a hundred dollars...

CoC is better without money spending
Screw you Arceus, this is all your fault.

Taco Bell >>> Burger Peasants.

BK only has good fries going for it. Subway is overpriced and meh. KFC is aight but nothing more
You are so right

But I dislike KFC, it is all the same since all of it is chicken and chicken.

other fast food restaurants give better food for the same price. This is a diss at BK.
Bro, I'm genuinely allergic to BK's food. Like every time I've ever had Burger King as a child and teenager, I would get painful stomach aches and just vomit.

So I wanted to pop in and say your hatred for BK is completely justified, I hate that shit too. Wendy's way better than BK, though whether that's a positive or barely a difference is up to you.

Yea that's why I'm working to be a nebermind im not finsishing this sentece i should not be typing when sleep deprived

All this yapping when cooking for yourself stomps all the options.
To be fair: there are times when we're just too tired to cook or we don't want to wait to have a meal, so getting take out is still a viable option even if it's unhealthy.

But I do agree that cooking is significantly better than getting take out, and there's this inherently satisfying feeling to be had when you create a delicious meal and you feel this sense of pride knowing that you made it with your two hands. I mean sometimes when I'm feeling down, cooking something has helped me feel better a few times in the past.

I ******* hate Sprunki
I'm so tired of seeing that Happy Tree Friends wannabe Incredibox mod plaguing both itch.io and my social media
