Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Being intentionally ignorant is just going to make things worse.
It's not that I try to purposefully ignorant, I should've worded that better. What I meant to say is that I just want election day to come and go so things can be quiet for awhile.

I get what you mean though, and you're right. It's just frustrating to be engaging when I live with people who spout about it 24/7, so the political discourse gets old really quickly

Things being quiet is a best-case scenario. The two options are "things are quiet, and either get slightly better or slightly worse," or "the guy who literally said disabled people should just die"

Yeah that part genuinely worries me. If being a highly functional autistic counts as being disabled, I don't know what will happen to me in the future and that bothers me.

Maybe I'm overthinking things and being unnecessarily paranoid, but the future is a uncertain thing that I can't predict the outcome of.

I descend from the heavens with a decree from the Divine Font:

there is technically no rule against the mere mention of politics, as far as I am aware, but you should be careful, as it certainly runs closely in danger of doing Things that will cause Consequences. Play with fire and so on. That is all.

I hope whoever wins this election improves the economy, regardless of their other politics. That is my main concern, I don't want to be cutting coupons for cutting basic groceries.

Though that might also be an issue with the state governor. I was surprised to see other states had cheaper prices.

This is my president.

Hot take, people who haven't kept up with what both politicians have done, nor have studied the politics, shouldn't vote in this election.

Who's the first gay president? Obama? He opposed gay marriage before it became popular, maybe a secret lover changed him.
A lot of people say Lincoln, but historians say 100% of men liked to platonically jonk it together back then and people became little bitch-boys in the early 1900s.
