The Gods Of Primal Man

Have you never heard of an arena?

There's actually quite a bit of correlation here, good sportsmanship in plays, movies, sports. are all things that fit under both.

In arenas foughts slaves, fighting not for honour, but because they were forced to.

and sportmanship is not really honor, but more good manners

a) you're pulling that from fiction matter of fact most arena gladiators fought because they wanted to. Think of celebrities of our time. The cases of people forced to fight for their entertainment is unfounded in historical accounts.

B) look at the definition of honor does in fact include it.

a showing of usually merited respect

to regard or treat (someone) with admiration and respect : to regard or treat with honor

a keen sense of ethical conduct

Needless to say, you're arguments are unfounded on both counts.

These are other definitions which would be a combination of both as well.

an award in a contest or field of competition

an ace, king, queen, jack, or ten especially of the trump suit in bridge

(2): the scoring value of honors held in bridge —usually used in plural

b: the privilege of playing first from the tee in golf

to salute with a bow in square dancing
