I guess since the trailer was more focused on the main four, they didn't feel the need to show Jaune off too much. Which, TBF, would suggest they're FINALLY gonna address the criticisms about Team RWBY not being very good protagonists...

They could "redeem" her and make her an anti-hero instead of joining Team RWBY 100%.
Neo getting killed off would be very unfortunate, as she would end up being the very definition of wasted potential.

Bann Belladonna (Kakarot) has a dark version of himself made by the ever after out of his fears and insecurities of his alien nature given form or he is split in half by his nature and nurture (like how superman and Clark were separated from one into two)

Tbh neo's whole revenge quest is built around her believing Ruby killed Roman when it was his own negative emotions that attracted the grimm to eat him, hopefully Ruby says how Roman actually died wasn't her fault and the Ever After is basically a therapy dimension so maybe that way she can give up her revenge quest and help take down cinder and Salem because they are the main reason why Roman died

Wonder if there will be a RT platform a year from now after these exclusivity deals.
"This was a choice that we made for the future of RWBY". Well, RWBY can survive without RT, but RT can't survive without RWBY.
From the trailer and teasers, it seems there will be an island section where Ruby wakes up, a Red Queen section where Weiss/Blake/Yang are shrunk, a forest section where they meet the Cheshire cat, and a cloudy mountain section.
The only returning antagonist (assuming they don't stay in Wonderland for the entire season) would be Neo, so we'll see if the writers can justify this not being a filler arc; the long-awaited Ruby development better not be a dud.
Aside from Jaune's boot appearing the trailer, the blacksmith might give Jaune a new sword. The old teaser trailer seems to show Jaune with new armor and a helmet, since the black undershirt is similar Jaune's:
