I should talk to him. Whatever to get him to not keep harassing Sera. It's not like he's doing it on purpose. Considering my message wall there isn't really used anywya, I don't mind.
 
Well, he asked me to block him for a little while, and I think that he has sent me over a hundred fanfiction.net messages, along with ones here and in the Superpower wiki.

I initially tried to help him with his mental problems, as they seem to be mostly caused by bad overmedication, but eventually had to block him from messaging me.

I also had to tell him that he should stop disturbing content revision threads and harrassing me and other staff members, or we would regrettably have to permanently block him from the wiki.

I explained that I am already extremely overworked and stressed out enough as it is, am not a trained psychiatrist, and that he should get professional help instead.
 
The problem is that the medicines cause him to lose any semblance of self-control, so he just keeps on disturbing me, despite repeatedly promising to stop. As such, I do not think that banning him from just one or two wikis is going to make much of a difference.
 
You do realize he had bothered and harassed Sera on MY WIKIA, right Ant? What he did, even if unintentional, is not acceptable.

My place there, though i have not been active there a lot as i use to, is not a place for things like that to happen. So Dragon banning him was the best we can do. DK about here, but there? Definitely needed to happen.
 
Yes. As I mentioned, he should be blocked from both wikis. The problem is that he will likely continue to message us on other wikis as well.
 
We might have to actually contact Wikia staff about this of him eventually if he does this. Which is likely to be the case as bothering others on other wikias is not a good sign to do....
 
Yes, probably. I have given him an infinite block in any case.
 
Okay. I am honestly hoping he at least gets help and just not use the wikia anymore or at least for a while. Whatever he's going through, it's just not healthy and good of him for what he had done recently.
 
Agreed. He needs to get off the internet. It is even less healthy for people with serious mental problems.
 
Was that the best decision to make? Time will tell really.

EDIT: He can hang around at my Wiki for the time being, although it is bare bones at this point so there's nothing much he could do really.

I deleted the pages they made that were horribly formatted and am currently fixing those that just need cleaning. There's a recurring theme I'm seeing where weapon profiles created by newcommers are badly formatted. That's odd considering thete's a standard format for them just like for characters.
 
Well, many new users do not bother reading the front page or browse through the wiki navigation bar.

I like to report Assaltwaffle Although his argument is very reasonable and many of them I agree with, the way he present it is very obnoxious and a bit disrespectful. He also link to video with vulgar language which I personally doesn't care but this website doesn't have age restriction, so some random kids can just find it. It wouldn't justify just to ban him over these little action but a warning is perfectly fine.

@Woodgod, What part of his revision is disrespectful? I will agree that the video link may have been unnecessary, all Waffle did besides that is bring up reasons as to why he believes the stats are not truly justified by using examples

He basically trying to be all witty and sarcastic. I'm totally down for him to bring reason and argue with the stats, some of this I'm agree with but he can do it in nicer tone and not sound like a jerk.
 
Assaltwaffle has not done anything bad, as far as I can see.
 
It seems that he is only saying how there is no justification for the stats and only assumptions in what may be a little but of a "witty and sarcastic" manner, perhaps someone else should get a look at the post itself and say their own opinion, as the only thing that I see wrong with the post is the link itself to a small extent
 
Well, as far as I remember, he has been well-behaved and constructive elsewhere. You can give him a mild warning if you wish, however.
 
Ryukama already acknowledged this one's behavior and I'm sure Cal as well considering they are on the same thread.
 
I would appreciate if somebody can give Daishinkan a firm warning then. Being consistently obnoxious and disruptive can eventually turn into a bannable offense.
 
Everyone must be busy, so I'll warn him again.

EDIT: Considering Ant's warning was firm enough, I offered to help the guy. I try to view both sides of the coin and he doesn't seem to be intentionally doing this on purpose. Some people just start acting out when they feel like they are being unfairly treated, so its only fair we hear him out.
 
I'm sorry but that is overthinking it. It's logic like that which makes us weaker as a community. I simply offer to help. There is no harm in that. Being on the internet makes little to no difference.

As staff we are generally overworked, however that gives us no right to dismiss someone due to asking too much questions or get upset when they continue to ask questions because we did not answer them properly. We have various policies and it is our responsibility to alert someone new if they are unaware of these policies and the responsibility of the individual to read each policy thoroughly.

If no one is willing to go that extra step, then I will. I have the patience to deal with it.
 
This thread is not the place for discussion. You're bringing up things that are irrelevant to how Daishinkan is behaving. He doesn't have some mental problems as far as we know. He just felt like he was being treated unfairly due to being ignored. True or not, I'll help him if there's any problem. This is not up for discussion unless he outright continues this behavior or breaks another rule entirely. Nothing I said was hypocritical. Right and wrong? What are you going on about? In any case if an admin wants to ban him they have the authority. But since no one has responded to this thread I'll take that extra step. I don't see why this is such a big deal.
 
He has all the right to say that it isnt the time to discuss something like this because it isnt, this thread is primarily meant to report rules violations not to make each and every one a thread of their own. If you wish to talk more about such a thing simply a make a thread relating to the issue at hand but dont attempt to bring something like this into the lime light at this moment because it isnt the place or time.

In any case those above have the authority to punish if they deem it necessary.
