This is why we should use the anime, nearly 7 years after its appearance people still find entirely different Interpretations of a single manga panel, the fact that it has persisted for so long should tell you the way the manga Portrays it isn't as clear cut as many people like to believe.

The anime also pretty much allows us to determine the distance between the beam and Nard's face since it actually shows the beam hitting the staff before Naruto starts any actual meaningful movement, thus decreasing the distance between Naruto and the beam and also making Naruto's small movement require an even tighter timing window to dodge.

Because we cant decide how far he dodged, the anime solves this issue, so there is no reason it shouldnt be used.

I think the opposite should be taken into account. The manga version generates doubts, discussions and leads us to have to assume certain things. The only possible argument for using the manga is "Primary canon" and that's it, but even so, that doesn't hold up. It doesn't really matter if the manga is the primary canon when the manga itself is inconsistent in the scene in question, it is not accurate, it is simply inferior in everything to the anime.

"In situation like this", where the manga is inaccurate, the anime should be our higher priority.

Two actually, I haven't uploaded my sandbox in a blog yet.

But it's only like, 1.07x higher than M3X's. With some minor variation in picture quality which makes all the difference for some reason.

A mere 1.07x difference really ain't worth it TBH, since I used the same methods as M3X.

I got 1.7675c, he got 1.64c
