How good is Merc's time manip resistance? Because from what i hear, Kars starts with time stop.
 
Then Kars busts The World out and stops time. He looks at Merc and says: 'I understand your ability' and proceeds to stalemate.

I don't see Kars affecting Merc with his abilities because of his intangibility, and I don't see Merc doing much once Kars mimics his powers.

It's an inconclusive for me.
 
Still won't stop Kars from conceptually understanding him. Besides, BtD will ensure Kars gets the upper hand for a second chance, but won't help if all his abilities can't touch Merc.

I feel like we're just slapping "conceptually" on anything to make it sound bigger, even though in practice it doesn't do much more.
 
Temporal means relating to time, eg time stop. So I guess he has some time manipulation resistance after all?

When it comes to understanding, isn't that actually worse than practical understanding, since it only means one understands how it works in concept, but wouldn't necessarily know how to best use it practically (just in general maybe not for Kars).

Edit: I forgot to say, sorry for the double post, got ninja'd earlier, so I didn't see Saikou's response at first.
 
i mean ren kept trying to hit merc but he felt he hit nothing merc didn't even try tbf though kars can paradox the sensory tbh...he can't understand merc's abilities due to sensory being from a 1-A so...
 
i mean...merc's intagibility makes it look like he is there yet he isn't at the same time...so idk how he hits him exactly..
