One punch man Child emperor new feat upgrade

Has the Child Emperor blast been calculated and evaluated yet?

Did Phoenix Man actually transform after getting hit with Child Emperor's blast? It looks like he has the exact same form, just burnt on one side. If he didn't transform, but was simply burnt, that would mean his energy absorption has limits, and that he did tank an unknown amount of the blast. In any case, absorption + his durability kept him from taking too serious damage, so, not sure how it would scaled, just that he survived that tier of an energy blast with only slight damage?

Presumably he survived a reduced amount of the blast or was using the energy to rapidly regenerate the damage. Plus PM was taking a smaller fraction of the blast anyways since he was so much smaller than it.

> Presumably he survived a reduced amount of the blast

Yes, that's why he switched forms.

> or was using the energy to rapidly regenerate the damage.

Where was it confirmed he can use stockpiled energy for Regenerationn like Boros? And as for Regenerationn, we've never seen him heal from a wound except when he transforms.

> Plus PM was taking a smaller fraction of the blast

Then does that mean any blast of the same tier that is as big or bigger than Child Emperor's can be survived by, say, someone half as durable/energy absorbant as Phoenix Man, as long as they're half as big? Is that principle commonly used? I'm not saying it doesn't make sense, just wondering if it has been argued that weaker opponents can surviving stronger energy blasts just by being small. I'm sure some version of the Atom or Ant-Man could tank Goku's Kamehameha by that logic.

Well, we tend to calculate energy per area during explosions.

This thread is going nowhere. Calaca said that he would calc the feats literally like two weeks ago, and he still hasn't done it, and it's impossible to tell just how much PM tanked and how much his absorption ability can absorb. So I think it's best if we just close this thread.

He just finished the cloud dispersion part of his calc, just today & he got 351 megatons. Some calcs just take time. So just be patient.

Yes, let Calaca take his time. It is better than starting over.

PM should scale to CE's attack

He took the whole thing head on and while absord some of the energy he wasn't even close to completely absord the whole beam,if he did then the beam wouldn't even reach to the surface but completely vanished, just like what happend with the mini robots's lasers of Brave Giant

Even if he took only 1% damage from the attack(ridiculous lowball) that still City level durability(35 megatons)

Assuming its accepted then for CE it would be "Large Town level, Mountain level with the Emperor Nova" and for PM's durability it'd be like "At least Large Town level, higher with absorbtion (survived the Emperor Nova)".

Also it wouldn't be 1%. Even assuming a higher end like PM having a surface area of 1 meter or 2 meters

  • Beam Surface area = ¤Çr^2 = ¤Ç18.05^2 = 1023.54 meters^2
  • Low End = 353 Megatons * (1 / 1023.54) = 344 Kilotons
  • High End = 353 Megatons * (2 / 1023.54) = 689 Kilotons
Both would be Large Town level which would be further reduced/countered by energy absorption.

There is no reason at all not scale PM to CE's Emperor Nova

He didnt absord the whole beam and wasn't even close to that, the beam also hit him directly and he was durable enough to tank it

The beam did hit him directly, the issue is that the beam is far larger than he is so he'll only be taking a reduced amount of the blast. For example a character only need 7-B durability to survive a baseline Earth destroying explsion if they're on the surface of the planet. Why? Because they're only being exposed to one quadrillionth of the blast.

In this case PM's surface area is at least over 500 times smaller than the beam's surface area. So the amount of energy he was exposed to was far smaller than the beam's total output.

no offense but that sould kind of bullshit

I mean, since when size is matter in any veres? i don't remember someone ever point it out

By this loigc every DB character should be downgrade

> don't remember someone ever point it out

Multiple durability or tier justifications mention the smaller surface area stuff. Jojo is one that comes to mind. Plus its just simple stuff like PM being physically to small too take the full brunt of the blast

> By this loigc every DB character should be downgrade

DB beams are typically not that much larger than their target. If it is a major problem then it should be corrected. As Ant has said before another profile being wrong doesn't justify mlre wrongness.

Plus, Phoenix Man doesn't have to absorb the entire blast to lower its effectiveness of himself. He just has to absorb the part of it that is actually hitting him.

If the full amount of beam hit him and he tanked it then there wouldn't be so much destruction to the rest of the base.

I'm gonna calc it anyway. There's a calc with apparently less water mass that ended in 7-B+. It'd be a supportive feat considering the height the water covered.

It's a third resurrection form, he gained bat wings instead of burned off bird wings.

@Calaca

Thank you very much for the help.

@All

Afterwards we have to try to figure out which characters that scale from it.

Okay sounds good. Can we upgrade CE to 7-A now? He's only 7-A with his final attack obviously.

No, the calculation has to be finished and then evaluated by the calc group members first.

Changes tend to move slowly in this wiki. You will have to try to be patient.

Unlike with Vaccine Man -> Orochi I don't really see a direct way to scale it. We know Brave Giant can fight Dragon level threats on its own and the Emperor Nova is so powerful it causes massive self-damage. Without a statement or similar feat I don't think it would be a good idea.
