Heres an idea, remove fate from the doujinverse and remove anything that basically adds on to its lore like the Tsukihime fanfiction remake then we will all be happy (except wankbroken who is a fate fangirl perexcellence but it does not matter what she thinks)

you do realize proto fate is the first written work in the nasuverse, knk even uses the counter guardian concept from it

Proto Type is irrelevant considering it uses concepts from the modern canon the reworked version.

Manaka: “The event that has been completely fixed in the flow of time……...cannot be surpassed. Even if I could make it possible for Britain to survive with my own hands, if I come into conflict with the fixed event then I will quickly disappear. Somehow the glorious Britain will be destroyed, the Saxons will establish a new country, and finally give birth to the Britain that will continue onto now.”

Caster: “So you’re pruning the event, I see?”

Manaka: “Yes. And then, the world will continue on to now.” - Fate/Prototype: Fragment of Blue and Silver - Volume 5 Knights of Fate - Act 4
Manaka's reference to events "fixed in the flow of time" directly parallels the concept of quantum time locks, where certain historical outcomes are immutable to preserve the coherence of the universe. This mechanism ensures that certain events must occur to maintain the timeline's integrity, a concept introduced in the modern Type-Moon universe. Manaka also explicitly mentions "pruning the event," a process akin to the modern canon's mechanism of removing stagnated or dead-end timelines. In modern Type-Moon lore, the universe constantly expands with multiple timelines, but those leading to humanity's stagnation are pruned to conserve energy and ensure progress. This pruning terminology is distinctly part of the modern framework, not present in the older infinite timeline concept.

The older Type-Moon canon, depicted a multiverse with infinite timelines and a nihilistic view of humanity's doomed fate. There was no pruning process, and the thematic focus was anti-humanist. Conversely, the modern canon promotes pro-humanist themes of progress and evolution, even at the cost of individual happiness, aligning with the quantum time lock and pruning concepts. Manaka's goal of creating an "Eternal Britain" represents stagnation—a state where progress halts. This ambition conflicts with the fixed event that ensures Britain undergoes inevitable changes. Manaka acknowledges that her actions must align with these fixed points, reinforcing the necessity of pruning to maintain the timeline's integrity. This acknowledgment and the use of pruning terminology confirm the setting within the modern Type-Moon canon.

certain things from the LN version? maybe.
But we know previously that what would have been the fate route was complete by sometime in the 90's, and the reworked version of the fate route we see in stay night was finished around 99-2000.
Who told you infinite timelines got retconned? They are still very much a thing, and get mentioned several times.

Pruning timelines isnt a new concept (see Fate/EXTRA and Mahoyo)

You seem to conflate the release of new information with a retcon.

Wankbreaker why did you try wanking anti spiral to 1A 💀
You don't ask someone named WankGoku on why they'd wank Goku

I feel like I understand both sides, having lurked around here for years.

On one hand, what Clover said does make sense. It’s a little eyebrow raise worthy when someone calling themselves “Wankbreaker” suddenly comes in and tries to downgrade Nasuverse to Low 2-C or even 4-B. It does kind of seem like they have an agenda, and this is especially apparent since they’ve come in after the old guard of the Nasu VSBW gang has pretty much retired (Paul Frank, Crimson, etc.).

But at the same time, I think the supporters of Nasuverse (or whatever’s left of it now that Paul and Crimson have retired) are a bit too unwilling to welcome changes and questions from others, whether it is downgrades or upgrades. It feels like the Touhou situation, where a certain banned user gatekept every CRT and change to Touhou cuz “they were working on it”, basically forcing people who wanna share their thoughts about a verse to just talk about their viewpoints. The Touhou situation iirc was so bad that the person heading the Touhou buffs was permanently banned.

Basically, it does no one any good to claim the other has an “agenda”, but at the same time, it’s also imperative to be flexible if someone presents the contrary to what you’re thinking. If Root is Tier 0 or not, that doesn’t matter. If you all are really dedicated to the verse as a whole, you’d try and find ways to not focus on buffs or nerfs for agenda’s sake, but because you want to know more about the verse. All the arguments I’ve read here, from both sides might I add, are just endlessly repeating the same drivel to each other, and since there’s so few big Nasu supporters active anymore (again, Paul and Crimson for example), it feels like people are getting pretty desperate to fill in the gaps.

Is Nasuverse weak as hell, only capping at Tier whatever? Maybe. Is it actually capable of soloing whatever? Who cares. The main purpose of this website, to my knowledge, is indexing. Not agendas or “my verse can beat your verse”.

If I could, I’d help out here with the outdated Nasu bios, but I’m fine with just lurking and I’m not an expert like you all, I just mostly chimed in during the times when Paul Frank and Crimson were active. But if you’re all annoyed or want to say something that counters Wankbreaker, then do research, prove your points, make the effort like how the Sonic fans are doing for their verse on this website. Calling Wankbreaker for his supposed agenda out doesn’t do anyone any favors. If you don’t like it, make a CRT of your own and a detailed cosmology blog.

And now I shall return to the depths of lurking. Good luck everyone!

I wanted to make my own comment on this, but the brain said "No u". Anyway, I gotta continue lurking in the shadows as well, since this bickering of powerscaling does make for a funny show

we also lost the king of nasu debating, hyperzero, who’s ego was so inflated he managed to inflate a warning to a permanent ban.

no more will we hear of his gospel like “Araya beats mere ultimate ones”, and “Fate isn’t canon to the nasuverse”
Listen, I get it, their takes were pretty bad, and they got perma-banned, but you have to let them go.
