Simple and easy(a lie). Kawaki currently has this listed on his profile but there is no reason given and he does not have the Byakugan like Boruto has. So I recommend removing the resistance since there is no reason for him to have it and he has not shown the ability or statements for it.

Maybe because he has the knowledge and ability of an otsutsuki which should give him perfect chakra control which means he has resistance to genjutsu.
 
Im guessing this is likely an oversight when the profile was edited, maybe copy pasting some of Boruto's stuff.

He can instantly learn to erase his chakra signature something that is very hard to do for the ninjas in the village. It should be common sense that otsutsuki should have perfect chakra control, thats why they can use any kind of jutsu like kaguya and how borushiki instantly learned how to use rasengan which is a high level jutsu while "kai" the justsu that allows for illusion resistance is basic for any ninja despite people with little chakra control being unable to use it, but even then Naruto pre war already knew "kai" he was just not good enough for Itachi's level.

What basic technique are you referring to that allows illusion resistance? Because if it's the one I think your talking about, it's not a resistance, it's just allowing them to break it/nullify it not resist it.
