In his final form he was handling Post-Purgatory Ban, Post-Purgatory Demon Mark Meliodas, and Full Power Full Wings King at the same time before Escanor joined in. Demon King Meliodas was only somewhat stronger than Post-Purgatory Ban in a 1v1.

Also according to some people on *********** it seems like the latest chapter is saying that Escanor is this strong right now because he's burning up his life force.

He has Assault Mode something he could only use once he has started reverting back into his prime. So yes he did all of a sudden have his prime power in the past which makes no sense because translations of the new volume extras had implied that Meliodas only had his Unsealed power back in Danafor.
