If u want a basing on it, here's my opinion:

To be fair, Asriel is still just a child, and has that childlike personality, what Vaermina could do to his mind and **** him up so badly, also taking away his happy memories and just replaced with the worst nightmares he could even imagine, I see this ending up how Bill vs Asriel did, With Bill twisting his mind with horrors to the point where he couldn't even bear to lift a finger to him.

You know this is a weird one. Asriel doesn't seem to have any sort of mental protection, so I think you could be right. Vaermina might be able to pull this one off.
