MCU Phase 4 General Discussion Thread

Man I feel bad for the MCU, never feels like a lot of the ratings are solidified for as long as they should be
Hopefully moving forward with phase 4 the feats we get are just blatantly what they are without any contentions especially if they continue to increase the scale as they've already been doing we're in for a treat because that's what seems to be the case with all the upcoming movies those being Eternals, MoM, and Thor 4

Definitely hope so. Sucks we'll have to wait so much time to discover Eternals

Well unless they're very particular variations or unique characters, they should scale honestly
We'll treat them as we do for the main DC and Marvel multiverses. Scaling a what if to a prime universe character only works one way, and you don't backscale unless they interact or serve as a universal constant like the Infinity Stones.

So unless we put in a new policy for the MCU the main versions do not scale to any What If feats, but the reverse is allowed.

Guess so. In all fairness, we're only making profiles for What if characters who significantly differ from their main counterpart, making profiles for characters who are basically the same but without the same personnality is useless (guess Party Thor won't get a profile anytime soon)

I disagree. Certain variants from some of the episodes didn't get affected by the Nexus Events that created those timelines, so there is no reason to assume that those variants are stronger then the characters of the Sacred Timeline.

For example, lets take Captain Marvel. None of the Nexus Event were about her or even affected her in the slightest, so the feats performed by the variants of her should scale to the Carol that we know considering that there would be no reason for them to be stronger than the one from the Sacred Timeline.

After watching ultron won people be like

Loki itself implies character backscale to their alternative version unless something major happened
When the multiverse was created it retroactively effected the entire multiverse. As shown in Venom 2 and the trailer for NWH things that happened years before the sacred timeline popped into existence.

Heck one of the What is happened to Thor which occurred well over 1400 years before Iron Man 1.
