@Celestial cause both Base Gil and Edo madara are at the same tier and have higher tiered attacks where they can potentially oneshot each other.

This battle depends entirely on that starting distance.
If it was SBA Gil could hop on Vimana and fly around until he realises his swords aren't breaking through susanoo and Madara's regenerating from everything, at which point he throws Ea.
But it's a few metres so Gil gets swatted by a 6-B susanoo

I'll vote Madara since Gilgamesh will start off with just spamming weapons which Madara know he won't be able to dodge in time to precog so he will use his wood release or Susano'o. The wood release or Susano'o will smash through the weapons before killing Gilgamesh

Shirou didn't dodge, he hit Gil's attacks with his own attacks. Since they're the same weapon, they canceled out. But Madara's attacks are stronger and will break Gil's weapons and then kill Gil.
