It is true that the U is silent, but the name is spelled Zamasu in all English versions. And Zamas and Zamasu aren't wrong in translations one way or the other, but I agree with AKM Sama that Zamasu is the more prominent of the two. So I'm fine with the name staying regardless.

The kanji is same for both versions and it's literal translation is Zamasu. What the english translation of the manga calls him is irrelevant. Also, an image link calling him Zamas is not a proof when the official subs call him Zamasu.

Let's change Gowasu to Gowas, Vegeta to Bejita, Beerus to Berusu because pronounciation or Vegito to Vegerot because manga translation.
