Gunvolt Revisions discussion thread

Another stretch: with Voltaic Chains, would GV have a (Semi?) Danmaku? I suppose this applies to Copen too with Shred Storm/Twin Shredder

I mean, kind of? But not really? We really should have a profile for screen nukes or omnidirectional attacks, since their different enough from Danmaku.

Right... Just remembered that GV has a unofficial screen nuke and duplication, hope that becomes real at some point

Would Copen be resistant to hacking? On one hand GV's Flashfield can disable his Prevasion Subroutine, but on the other, Teseo's Septima made for Tech Manip and Hacking (the thing that screwed over the Seraph) didn't screw with his equipment at all

So, I figured how Gunvolt and Bloodstained might be able to cross-scale.

Demons and stuff in Bloodstained are confirmed to be from hell.

Viper, after being revived, said that the fires of hell were lukewarm compared to his own fire.

Both verses co-exist (Due to one of the secret endings in the first game), meaning they likely share the same hell.

All this is a strech, and I haven't finished Ritual of the Night yet, so I don't know how valid this is.

Also, Zonda shouldn't outright have all the powers of The Seven but instead should have power mimicry due to duplication. She has to actually summon them for their abilities to be used.

I realized that after watching Blade nullify Copen's Prevasion in a cutscene that there are so many exceptions that just bypass Prevasion. I feel like we should be compiling a list of things that nullify or bypass it. The most consistent thing that has bypassed it has seemingly been grappling attacks though

New information about Milas's Hydro Zapper, apparently it contains a specific electrolyte designed by Milas himself to disable electronics, which is why it bypasses Prevasion

I got that information from Sidier, the main translator guy. Apparently this comes from Milas's profile.

More information is that Power Grab got nerfed from Chaffing to just Overheating because Gunvolt's GV2 outfit had some electromagnetic tech provided by Asimov just before he died, which helps resist Power Grab's affect. This comes from the same source as well.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where Sidier keeps his translations for the profiles, but I'll try and find them. If you have a Discord, there's a Gunvolt Server where you can possibly contact him

What would GV's intelligence stat be, it'd be a fair estimate to consider him somewhere near the intellect of Copen (though probably less intelligent due to not being able to create machines like Copen). So maybe an Unknown, Possibly Genius?

Okay, I'll try and put together a list of things that bypass Prevasion when LAiX comes out.

Does Gunvolt resist Petrification? It's kind of unknown, because he seemed to wriggle himself free from Elise's. Maybe Elise's version only covers him with stone instead of actually turning him into stone

Also, if you trust Gunvolt Wiki, the people in the Discord server organizes that stuff

We could put him as: Above Average in combat ([List his victories]), Genius in [Book smarts] ([Book smarts reasoning])

For Copen, yes, that should work

For Gunvolt, his booksmarts reasoning would probably be the fact that he's a top former member of QUILL and is above average for his age, if that's enough of a reasoning

I'll add those details now, as for the Petrification resistance, it's debatable and it would probably never be truly explained, the game itself says that he is being turned INTO stone, not encased in stone, so... unsure. other video games such as Aria of Sorrow do this as well, and Soma Cruz, from that game resists Petrification from Medusa Heads, so it's not exactly far reaching to say Gunvolt resists it too

So I just saw a blog post about lightning creation.

This dosn't directly apply to Gunvolt, but it could be used to try and calc some of GV's abilities.

Edit: Actaually, I don't think it can. However, I feel like the amount of time Gunvolt can generate the flashfield can be calculated somehow.

Possibly Flashfield/Dragonsphere/Astrasphere, but I wouldn't count on it, Crashbolt on the other hand....

Maybe Luxcaliber too?

How long Flashfield can last makes me think it could be higher, but Crashbolt would probably be easier to calc. Problem is it's not nessisarily cloud-to-ground

It specifically states that Gunvolt calls dow a lightning strike in the game's description of it, most likely suggesting it's actual lightning. It's also said that most users (of the four anyway) apparently have a common ability to called down lightning, plus, GV generates natural lightning as well, so it's probably safe to assume that

No, the part where the bunch of crashbolts fall alongside with the chains

I´ll get the scan myself
