Yeah. Also the same with Vegeta if you think about it since he doesn't (usually) use martial arts. I guess these characters just incorporate ki in a different fighting style of their own. I mean martial arts isn't the only type of combat.

Frieza is a painfully good example. But characters like him have access to ki without incorporating it into martial arts. The majority though have access to ki while incorporating it into martial arts. Why? Who knows.
No. This is wrong. Freeza knows martial arts.

Frieza is a Mutant Prodigy yes. And Saiyan has natural talent in using Ki, except Goku who lost his memories due to the head bump, also Ki Sensing is a skill, even Saiyan or Frieza with natural prodigy to access Ki still need to learn to sense Ki signature, Goku can even sense emotion, evil or good intent from it

Everyone in Dragon Ball show martial art skill anyway amateur or master or whatever the level is, it is the core theme of the verse

I mean, keeping up with goku, while being at his level of power would require some level of skill in combat.

Yes.

Although his Full Nelson is meh

In short, Goku was already a master at 12, has a lot of MA techniques. Then in DBZ it was more of “who has a higher power and/or skill”. Then DBS was able to incorporate Martial arts but on a supernatural level. Such as damage reduction to counter weak point strikes from an opponent faster than him, predict a time stop spammer, match the speed, angle and power of a person’s strike to nullify its strength (the shockwave from their strikes will destroy the universe if Goku failed), and Ultra Instinct, a technique which resembles Mushin Irl, so it’s like a God/supernatural version of it that is extremely difficult to master.
Shouldn't super manga Goku have damage reduction?

What's stopping Garou and Goku from copying eachother until they lose all hope and sense of self?
Goku copies Ki based attacks not fighting styles. His power mimicry has shown limits too. He didn’t copy time skip, tri beam, special beam cannon, galick gun and the fact that there have been various techniques that Goku had to learn over a period of time like Kiao ken, spirit bomb and ultra instinct. Garou would instantly copy everything I just listed

Goku has feats of copying fighting styles and even creating them himself.
Time skip is a super natural power. The rest are all techniques that Goku never bothered to learn himself, but when he actually does, he can instantly copying them by seeing them once like the kienzan for example.
These are not anti feats, they are just techniques that are significantly harder to learn than the previous ones listed.

No, absolutely not. Garou has no feats of copying life force based super natural energy like chi. He also isn't copying time skip or ultra instinct at all lmao.

Everyone in OPM has ki, and it could be argued that him copying Blast's gravity knuckle was ki related.

What? No? Due to equalization they do, so their life force can be sensed or absorbed, but they do not gain abilities from it.
Examples?
Goku copying master martial artist chappa's entire martial arts by only seeing it used once.
And Goku creating the mad fist on the spot to counter roshi's drunk fist. (By the way, this fighting style is the same one that shat on garou)

Ok the first link just shows Goku FAILING to copy tien’s four arm technique

The second link is Goku doing a half ass copy of roshi’s drunken style.

The third link is just Goku fighting normally with no statements of copying

Goku doesn’t copy fighting styles. There’s a reason his profile doesn’t say he can copy fighting styles

Also guys let’s not forget that Goku rarely goes for power mimicry.

Honestly when was the last time we saw Goku use power mimicry? He didn’t use it a single time the entire run time of the dragon ball super anime and one time in the manga but Goku himself considered the Haiki he copied a failure.

Garou’s entire fighting style is going in for the power mimicry ASAP.

...
Tien's technique is literally hax. This whole sequence is a ridiculously incredible skill feat, because Goku copied a martial art that makes it look like you have 8 arms while only having 2 and used it to overpower tien who had 4 ACTUAL arms.
He didn't copy roshi, he came up with something new on the spot.
Third link is him watching king chappa's martial arts style for the first time.
Hakai is an extremely advanced technique of the gods that Goku had to literally pull out of his butt on the spot with no prior training. Mind you vegeta had to train to hell to learn it.

Goku’s power mimicry is no different than vegeta’s dirty fireworks. They will never be used in character
