Extra ability for Asriel?

After everything was said and done in the True Pacifist Route and everyone's soul was returned no one seemed to remember the events that took place during their involuntary fight with Frisk .

Wouldn't this qualify for Mind Manipulation (removing/altering memories) or is there another explanation?

I mean

nobody else was alive, at that time. He kinda killed and/or absorbed everyone but Frisk.

If they were dead then how did they consciously support Frisk after their memories "flooded back"?

The SOULs of several major characters supported Frisk and were brought out of Asriel's influence, mid-fight. However, they clearly don't stick around afterwards, since only Frisk and Asriel are left in the void when the battle is over.

It did in the moment, yes. Their memories of who they were before they were absorbed. They would be unlikely to have any sort of memory of the fight, as unlike humans, monsters can't exist as disembodied SOULs.
