Elden Ring General Discussion

If the Elden ring IP still belonged to Bandai I could totally have seen them expanding the universe even further, but since From is apparently the sole owner of the IP we will never get our layers into boundless Elden ring upscale 😭

wdym it already is. The Elden ring defines all concepts in the world (see latest CTR) and thus that would include all of the concepts that would allow beings to reach layers in boundless. And thus the elden ring is boundless and so is the people who scales to them /s

Yeh so I think we need to figure out how thats gonna work, cause you can backscale it to like Godfrey and people roughly comparable. Im not sure what sort of scaling chain there is currently but you could make an argument that only Godfrey and possibly Malekith Scale (and obviously Rada/Marika and The Tarnished/EB)

Im not 100% the best approach but I think something like 'At least 7-A, likely 4-A, possibly Low 2-C' for Malekith and up scaling wise? (key is kind of long and annoying though)

Edit: Problem is you can then backscale Radhan and Malenia and Morgot. Basically any Demigod really or anyone with a great rune

But Malekith is already Low 2-C?

Godfrey doesn't have access to the Elden ring anymore so I don't think this applies to him

I'd also like to mention that the circumstances in ER to become Elden Lord are extremely different.

Marika is half dead and she's a stone statue, so the Tarnished has free reign to do whatever he wants with the Elden Ring.

When Godfrey was Marika's consort, she wasn't suffering from anything so Godfrey probably never even interacted with the Ring.

Yeh but we fight him just before Radagon/EB

We still have to fight Rada/EB (Elden Beast would scale to the ER)

Not sure how that's relevant

Oh right, also is it reasonable to place in the Radagon and Marika's techniques section the incantations that are directly associated them (Minor Erdtree, the various Rings of Light spells, the other Golden Order spells, etc.), but in a different tab to Radagon's/their boss moveset?
Hey, I don't remember if anyone answered me on this, so should I just add them to their pages or should I make a CRT specifically since Minor Erdtree would give Marika Healing as a new ability?

1. Lady Maria appears (well she doesn't, rather a player with her hairstyle and clothes + a dagger that looks like it came straight from the Rakuyo, but you know what I mean)

2. Bloodborne Cerberus also appears (well not exactly but it looks EXTREMELY similar)

3. "The night is far from over" a line said in the trailer, something that would come straight out of Bloodborne.

Call it copium but we might finally be getting Bloodborne content lads 😭

Really the only game that didn't get any references was Sekiro (if you don't count that parry vs the Omen a reference)

sweet free first flame scaling lolololol
"Seekers of redemption, you have been chosen"

This makes me believe the protagonists will be The Tarnished, The Hunter, Ashen One and maybe even the Bearer of the Curse.

If we're lucky we might even get Sekiro and the Slayer of Demons.

All in all it would upscale every single FromSoft protagonist and every single page regarding every single Souls character would need to go through major changes lmao we're so ******

Leaving all powerscaling aside this feels like From experimenting the waters. We know From likes to experiment new mechanics on full fledged games (Sekiro and the parry), and Miyazaki has said before he'd like to experiment new things on his games (when people asked him about the co-op Elden Ring mod that allowed you to play the entire game with a friend, he said he wasn't opposed to doing something like that in the future. Lo and behold, we get this). Really smart from them in all fairness, but I'm just worried this will royally **** up the lore.

They do call it a spin-off in the interview, so we'll see in the lore department.
