Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 74: Broly Hype is unstoppable

Yeah, Paragus did care about his son or else he wouldn't give a duck like Kid Vegeta and Kid Raditz. The fact that he went against his king and wanted revenge shows this. Sure he treated Broly like a weapon for his revenge but that doesn't take away from the fact that he loved his son.

The moment it became clear to him that Broly couldn't beat Vegeta, he abandoned his drive for revenge and reached for his remote to calm Broly down. He was practically begging for Broly to return. If he only wanted revenge, he wouldn't give a duck about his son's life and would have let him go crazy.

His priorities were set:

1. Son

2. Revenge for what was done to his son.

It should be noted that Paragus spent 40+ years on, perhaps, the most dangerous world in the universe with a mentally unstable son who had an immeasurable level of power and endless potential. The guy had to survive with only himself, his mentally unstable son, and whatever they could find to sustain themselves on.

It's doubtless that 80+ year old Paragus is nothing like 40+ year old Paragus.

Never had I said anywhere that Paragus didn't do his duty as a father. But he wasn't exactly a good role model. Also attacking Vegeta who had zero involvement with this was the worst thing to do.

Honestly Bardock doesn't get enough credit for what he did. Watching him & Gene saying goodbye to kid Goku was heartbreaking

Well, you called him "shit father".

The rest of your comment is irrelevant.

Wy does canon Paragus and non canon Paragus share the same profile?
Both have very little information on their own so it's better to just make two keys rather than making two separate profiles. Bardock also have separate keys for his different versions.

Which reminds me, we also need a new render for King Vegeta.

Doesn't Broly being light years ahead of Kale debunk the whole "U6 has more potential than U7" bullshit they been pushing?

How strong was Kale at her best? Weaker than SSG? Broly was on par with SSB without even going SSJ. No matter how you look at it, U6 is just a weaker version of U7.

The average saiyan of Universe 6 (or at least the 'normal' saiyans like Caulifa and Cabba) seem to be far beyond that of the Universe 7 saiyans but the outliers of Universe 7 (Broly, Goku and Vegeta) are all far superior to the best of Universe 6.

Essentially Universe 6 has way more quality warriors but the cream of their crop are nothing compared to the best of Universe 7. Hit has had over one thousand years of experience but finds an intense rival in Goku. Caulifa strives to reach Goku's level (with Goku outright telling her that she needs to be able to reach Super Saiyan 3) and Kale is so laughably inferior to Broly it's not even funny (as a result of Broly's berserker state having primal saiyan savagery due to his Wrathful state). Cabba is vastly inferior to Vegeta despite being one of the best warriors of Universe 6.

Essentially, they can access their Super Saiyan forms way easier and Caulifa is specifically a prodigy but they all overall are inferior to their counterparts.

Then the Namekian bros were only superior to Piccolo due to mass fusion (whereas with two fusions Piccolo was able to fight them) and Frost, despite having been a very active fighter, is inferior to Frieza in everyway imaginable.

So...yeah. While Universe 6 is depicted as having more prodigies the prodigies of Universe 7 are just vastly superior.

That's called 'conservation of ninjutsu', that's an old trope, a whole universe of prodigy will be vastly inferior to just a handful of prodigy if they ended up coming face to face, that's like one 1 man army end up facing an army of 1 man army, the army of 1 man army will be vastly inferior individualy.

The genreal idea is that Goku/Vegeta are much stronger than Cabba/Califula because of their years of experience. That theory however crack down fast when people like Broly/Frieza comes to play in comparison to Kale/Frost

Broly was raised as a warrior on a death world that make the eclipse look easy to live with while Kale passed her life under other people's wings in a very peaceful environement while having the protection of her whole race.

While peaceful environement are good to get an easy time going SSJ, it's not the best environement for a Berserker to reach it's full potential.

Frost has no excuse thought.

Probably because Frost would be studidly overpowered if he had trained for his whole life and had Frieza's level of accelerated development. Frieza came out of the womb as strong as he was in the Namek saga.

This is true however we have no indication that they will have access to the dragon balls (as often as their Universe 7 counterparts) or access to all of the training methods available to their counterparts.

It also seems extremely unlikely for them to face the same challenges and milestones to increase their power. They are essentially limited to maybe training with Vados but she would have no interest in training them unless Champa tells her to. So what options do they have?

Once they die they will be dead. The Namekians of Universe 6 have no reason to agree to reviving some random saiyans after all.

Broly went from stronger than 2nd Form Frieza (based on his power going over one million from a scouter) to curbstomping people that are hundreds, if not thousands, of times Low 2-C. Over the course of a single fight. Kale in comparison didn't really grow much stronger beyond her Berserk power despite having a much easier time of mastering her Berserker form.

Someone needs to make thread 75.
