Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

This is the first time speed has been mentioned in DBZ.

speaking of dyspo i remember people saying DB caps at SoL because of his "light speed" mode
Anyway, PBH stated that light cannot escape from this, and Goku can't use Shunkan Idou to escape, but can move there(Lol, he just faster than his fastest movement technique). So SoL mode of Dyspo ≠ SoL literally, cuz he much faster than base Goku.

Okay I got two things I wanna bring up:
  1. Beerus's AP justification says that it's stated that Broly Saga Goku and Vegeta are still desperately catching up to him. This is false. I can't access it for some reason, but you can see it in the scan used for Broly Saga Final Form Frieza's justification. What it actually says is that Goku is close to becoming a god, and Vegeta is desperately trying to catch up to him
  2. I know there's a massive scaling chain from a Dead Zone Class P feat for the Toei continuity. Wouldn't this be a clear anti-feat?

I believe he's talking about this, Goku and Vegeta trying to reach Beerus.

There is also this thing that says that Jiren's level was the same as Goku and Vegeta, but the ki control was totally different from both of them.

And Whis confirms this indeed

I find crazy how jiren is more powerful than goku and vegeta with pure ki control, and he doesn't even have divine ki.
Divine aura looks like something like divine ki. Vegeta get that aura just from trainings and get divine ki from that, why Jiren with that aura doesn't have god ki? He also can sense that ki. On Vegeta example just training and god ki sensing was enough to achieve this.

Jiren can sense god ki? I dont remember that
He was somehow judging Goku's strength and deciding whether to pay attention to him or not. All in all, not possessing a super advanced sense of Ki, standing up to MUI seems like an impossible task, because if you recall, back in the Freeza arc, Goku and Vegeta learnt how to amplify the Ki inside their bodies so that their opponents couldn't sense it. But then there was Freeza, who could do it, and Hit, whose skills at hiding and sensing Ki were much higher (by the way, Hit's attacks were also sensed by Jiren, even though he has at least a few layers of Ki hiding). In the end, he only paid attention to Goku when he started to show something special, before that he meditated with his eyes closed.
Also, the fact that Jiren's power was enough to bypass the Daishinkan's ban on flying (if it was a rule-based ban, he would have been disqualified like Frost, and since no one else was trying to use bokujutsu, it's likely that the ban was at the level of space) could be good evidence of his possession of Divine Ki, but that's speculation cuz we haven't statements about this.

And the best argument is that Vegeta himself said that Jiren's strength is almost no different from his and Goku's strength (this is not necessarily interpreted solely as the amount of strength, as the phrase itself is dual and can also speak to the nature of the strength).

Therefore, I think a divine aura is a sign of Godly Ki. Or it is a sign of a different, but to the same level developed Ki, because of which any power difference between these types of energy disappears. But at least divine aura is not present in owners of ordinary Ki, which is clearly seen in super saiyan and god forms.

地球は、北の銀河に位置している。宇宙全体から見ても、環境の整った住みやすく美しい惑星だ。
"Earth is located within the North Galaxy*. Even when viewing universe as a whole, it is a beautiful planet with a peaceful and habitable environment."
Curiously, I believe this dialogue from the Chouzenshuu is almost certainly derived from a line Paragus says in the original Broly film.
