I don’t think there is a proper 3D model for Maui so it would probably be 2D. Though it would probably be easier to wait for a 3D Maui model because I can’t imagine making one from scratch with all of his tattoos. Same goes for what a nightmare a hand drawn battle would be.

I have a lasting grudge against WW vs Thor (no godblast? C'mon) but Marvel vs DC is an oversaturated thing and that one can go either way like any Herald fight Thor wins.

I feel S1 episodes are too easy to pick so I'll go for Knuckles Vs DK.

*Using non-canon feats/lore from the TV shows that also dumbs down both characters was poor practice.

*Equalizing Mario and Sonic power-ups to not use them was a cop-out, like I understand not using "invulnerable" forms but removing most of a character's arsenal is not exactly using them at their full potential and unfairly moves the goalposts.

*The scaling was all over the place from the comical moon feat for DK to Knuckles being apparently 100mph, like I'm aware of DB do composite feats but having feats from both Sonic X and Boom seem more impressive than anything Knuckles did in canon felt a little disingenuous and don't even get started on that ridiculous Samson-like weakness DK had (which iirc is never referenced in the DK or Mario games).

*Both characters have new stuff now and DB has overall improved their research/scaling. Also it's low-key funny that on this site, base DK actually blitzes X Knuckles but can't actually harm old red without hax (not gonna discuss canon Knuckles since the scaling and discussion for base Sonic characters is very chaotic in the Vs community).

Hard question, as it's better to have new opponents for old contestants (like I'd make an argument for XS Rubedo / Jr. as an opponent for Shadow, for example, or even Rex vs Sora being OK given that Sora's episode pre-dated KH3). But if I had to pick one...

I guess Natsu vs Ace would look good with a fresh coat of paint?

Brightburn is such a boring crappy character that does nothing special and isn't interesting at all that I'd prefer Wordgirl to fight literally anything else. Or not fight at all because I don't like those kidde cartoon watchers getting a matchup they like.
 
The island/country/continent level feats people are using come from when Maka was temporarily wielding Lord Death's scythe, not Soul, Without Lord Death's scythe she is only Town level and if she is disarmed completely, she is only building level And she is also canonically unskilled

Giving Maka Lord Death's scythe and thus making her country level instead of town level would be like giving Ruby the Relic of knowledge

Maka is 100% getting scaled to Crona. That already puts her way above Ruby in everything. And there's the fact she may or may not get fireforce scaling.

My humor is broken, I find it funny when normal or innocent characters that say edgy or uncharacteristic things.

Or edgy and immoral people, like idk, HitlersTopGroyperOneechan789 on Twitter doing something stupid or being comically evil, or a vile crazy guy hypocritically calling other people crazy or vile.

Doesn't Soul end up becoming a Death scythe at the end of the story(I only know about Soul Eater's really lame anime ending, so I don't know what happens in the canon ending)? And if I remember correctly, Death's scythes are suppose to be comparable to each other or something so it's kinda redundant.

Also a bit of a side note: but since DB has a tendency to do verse equalization when applicable, I wonder if they'll argue that Ruby's silver eyes would be able to affect Maka's black blood by arguing that it's similar to Grimm liquid or something. Not that I'm saying they would do that, but it's something that I've been thinking about.
 
I think it'd be VERY generous to compare Black Blood to the Grimm physiology - the closest I can guess is that we see humans with Grimm parts like Cinder and the Hound and I guess you can argue if it compares to disrupting a soul wavelength, but its very notable that Grimm themself lack a soul- something black blood doesn't really worry about in a series where souls are targetted and used as wavelengths

I figured as much, I just wanted to ask since I'd been thinking about it for a long while since they announced Ruby vs Maka and I just wanted to hear y'all's input on the matter

Alright, so my list is something like this (in order from when they were originally released):

  • Goomba vs Koopa: TBH, this one is mostly because I wanna see if this episode can get a proper outcome and winner. Not counting the DBX on account of the whole "no research" aspect of that show.
  • TMNT Battle Royale: If I remember correctly, this one has a rep for being the first "controversial" MU, namely because... well, everything wrong with Season 1 DB is apparent here. Plus, it'd be nice to have a version that's both good AND actually viewable on Youtube.
  • Yoshi vs Riptor: I know this one might be an odd one, but IDK, this one has the shortest fight animation in the show's history (only 55 seconds long) and while I'm not knowledgeable on KI I feel like there should be more to work with here, especially with the proper research.
  • Luigi vs Tails: A lot of the same reasons why Mario vs Sonic 2 happened apply to this MU, I feel. Update it to be more accurate to the source, and don't restrict them to not using their powerups.
  • Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro: NGL, this one is entirely due to bias. It is still to this day my favorite episode of the show, and I'm genuinely curious what a modern take on it would look like. Plus, we may finally get a winner.
  • Beast vs Goliath: Even though I'm not a fan of either X-Men or Gargoyles... IDK, something always felt off about this episode to me. Not sure the best way to describe it though.
  • Tracer vs Scout: Similar to the above, something always felt off about this episode despite me not being a fan of either series. Though in this case, I think that might be due to the whole "capitalizing on the OW vs TF2 debate" thing.
  • Crash vs Spyro: Just use Classic Spyro this time. That matchup is actually pretty debatable.

Honorable mentions towards Justin Bieber vs Rebecca Black (not up for voting, but I would appreciate a version WITHOUT the cyberbullying aspect), Vegeta vs Mewtwo (does this one even count as an episode? I'm not sure, TBH), and Blake vs Mikasa (they promised we would feast like kings here...). Of all of this, I'd say Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro is my most wanted. If anybody wants me to try and elaborate on any of these, feel free to ask.
 
I was looking through past episodes out of curiosity; they scaled Crona to Black Star dodging lasers and moving 20 km in 6 milliseconds, which is ~3,300,000 m/s (plus whatever generating 9 trillion tons of mad blood, lifting 10,000 tons, and screaming at 275 dB is worth; they didn't give specifics for AP here, so we'll have to wait and see what they put Maka at).

Blake was given 26,700 m/s for scaling to lightning timers, and ~4 tons of TNT for AP/Dura with Aura.
Weiss was given 7 tons dura with Aura and an Ice Shield, and stated her normal output couldn't come anywhere close to Mitsuru's "21.7 tons of TNT durability"

I'm sure it will be different in RubyMaka, these are years old, but that's where DB's most recent stats stand.
