Late, but it's red characters who value their independence and freedom a lot, both used to be enemies to the main characters after being tricked by evil doctors, they later became good but still rival main characters somewhat

rewind rumble's Gunvolt vs Bass (for some reason).

Technically Anthem gives Gunvolt Mid-Godly, meaning Gunvolt could actually outlast Cloud in terms of stamina (Cloud's fought for hours, someone comparable to Gunvolt has searched for someone for days and been almost totally fine physically).
Gunvolt accidentally causing a self-destruct sequence, running away and then using a power he hasn't been shown to use was kinda dumb, though.
