I mean, we see the halves of Link's body land (Even if there isn't any blood for some reason), so not really. The "Disintegration" was a reference to Final Fantasy 7.
Considering it was their first time with Blender I don't think they wanted to get too ambitious.

Decided to rank EVERY post S1 Death Battle (unordered within tiers) just as I did about a year and a half ago. Opinion-based.
NOTE: I used the S1 Cloud vs Link thumbnail because it didn't seem like the tier maker I was using had the latest thumbnail (yet).
2 of the 3 deadpool MUs ended up in N/A because they're gag matchups, let's be honest.

Official Death Battle people "calling out" people like that is super unprofessional, though. It's a versus show, of ******* course people are going to disagree, and of course some people are going to be super immature about it. The best thing to do is not acknowledge the immature people.

Maybe, but they really shouldn't be giving people like that attention. They should address reasonable complaints, but they shouldn't insult someone who criticizes them weather or not they're being an asshole about it. Being the bigger man and all that.

I do wish they made the research blogs more available for the casual audience. Seeing people bring up Uni Link as if it changes anything for the DB verdict (as they addressed that they can give Cloud equal levels by the same logic). And the blog goes into detail on their decisions.
