- Prodigies from a young age. (Death the Kid is the second son of Lord Death. Because he literally comes from Lord's essence (not like that), he developed a strong soul wavelength from his youth. Satsuki, despite not having inherent Life Fibers, was exuded strength and skill even when she was a kid. She showed ambition from a young age and used that to show that she had the presence of Kiryuin, whether it be physical combat or charisma.)
- Despite being strong in their own right, they're weaker compared to their siblings. (Asura is Lord Death's firstborn created via a fragment of the True Death God and fear itself. Because of this, he's technically Kid's older brother. It makes sense that both their levels of madness cancel each other out. Despite them being related, Asura was still the stronger of the two. Even though Satsuki is the older sister to Ryuko, she doesn't have inherent Life Fibers like her, meaning that she couldn't reach new levels of power like the Matoi. Even in the eyes of her mother, she wasn't the one worthy to wear Junketsu as she couldn't bring out it's full power.)
- They found allies from a different social class than them. (Satsuki found the Elite Four, individuals who come from different social backgrounds than her. Death the Kid found the Thompson Sisters, who lived most of their lives from slums of New York and made friends with Maka and Black☆Star.)
- Foiling Ideologies. (Ambition is reserved for those who strive to be the best and those who don't are pigs in human clothing vs. For order to occur, Good and Evil must be balanced in all things, one cannot overpower the other.)
- Reliant on some form of synthesis to help make themselves stronger than before. (Kid uses Liz and Patty to make his Soul Wavelength stronger than it was on its own while Satsuki uses Junketsu, which helps boost her strength and prowess to a great deal higher via Life Fibers taking in her blood).
- Multiple forms to tap into. (Death the Kid can connect his Lines of Sanzu in his hair to increase his Soul Wavelength. Alternatively, he can tap into the Madness of Order to boost his power or if he wants to go further, he can become a True Death God to boost his stats even higher than before. Satsuki, after having some of Ryuko's blood and some Senketsu thread weaved into her Kamui, can tap in different forms just like Ryuko.)
- Capable of doing CQ/Long Range Combat. (Kid is skilled in Death God Taijutsu, a martial art that revolves around chops, kicks, and various forms of blocking. Despite this, he's also an excellent sharpshooter. Satsuki is skilled with her sword, Bakuzan. Despite this, she is shown to create shockwaves that shook the whole school and even capable of delivering slashes from the air itself.)
- Flashiness with their abilities (Soul Resonance and Kamui Transformation.)
- They share abilities/behaviors similar their parents. (Junketsu and Kiryuin Bright Light vs. Powerful Soul Wavelength and Reaper Physiology.)
- They follow the aspect of the child either carrying on/destroying the legacy their parents left/leave behind. (Death the Kid, in the manga, became the Grim Reaper in DWMA after Lord Death was defeated by Asura whereas Satsuki Kiryuin helped destroy the legacy Ragyo created in order to save the world from the Life Fibers.)
