Were very loyal for their supporters (Minato and Mega Man X) but then blamed said supporters for the death of their loved ones (Rin and Boomer Kuwanger). Joined villains for their own selfish reasons (Madara and Dr. Doppler) who are controlled by a literal parasite. Are convinced to leave the evil side by the end. Both can BFR opponents to an alternate dimension. Also those parasites were later overshadowed by the character who can blow up the dimension with a star and was defeated by a three man gang
 
DC and Dragon Ball are actually quite similar in Death Battle.

DC's win rate is about 63% with 20 wins and 12 losses, but it has a 100% win rate against everything that isn't Marvel.

DBZ/DBS' win rate is about 67% with 6 wins and 3 losses. It's also lost to, drumroll please, more than one verse (Specifically both DC and Kirby)

The big difference is this: DC is the one who creates bullshit fights. Goku vs Superman 2 and Ben vs Hal have DC as the winners of the two most controversial matches in the entire history of the show. Dragon Ball, meanwhile, is the loser of one of those two episodes, and as such people are much more sympathetic towards it. Also, there's a different reaction when a DC character is revealed then when a Marvel character is revealed. When a DC character is revealed, the general reaction is either a disappointed sigh or "God ******* damn it not again" because they've been in 32 matches at this point and they've mostly been mediocre. When a Dragon Ball character is revealed, people get excited because Dragon Ball's only been in nine fights and a lot of them have been really good.

Broly vs Hulk is controversial. Shadow vs Vegeta was also arguably wrong at the time.

Because it's not Goku Black vs Reverse Flash, that's why. Sans vs Rash is better than Goku Black vs Reverse Flash. Lex Luthor vs Doctor Doom is better than Goku Black vs Reverse Flash. Tipper's opinion of Hulk vs Broly when it first was revealed is higher than my opinion of Goku Black vs Reverse Flash.

I feel like they are only giving dragon ball this wins because they don't want to deal with all the death threats and complaining.
