D&D Adventurer WIP Blog Pt. IV

Heads up, at CR 19 Secundus should be "At least 6-C" as opposed to just 6-C. Also, the 6-C calc from Imix is high enough to have the +, so anything that scales to it should be "At least Island level+" as opposed to just "Island level".

Right. I didn't update the tiers after our talk. I'll edit them then

Recently I've just been rolling dice bots on Discord to take me to a page of Monster Manuals to decide what to make a page on

Landed on the Red Dragon

What should I do

Should we have like just a Dragon page or what

Dragon page seems like it would be absolutely massive.

Maybe divide them by color?

****, in 5e dragons technically have access to every spell under a certain level determined by their CR. This is going to be a pain.

Yeah I know. And I suppose separation by color will work but hot damn that's gonna be a lot of dragon pages.

Also would anyone mind if I mix up the verse page again to put devils with Archdevils and demons with Demon Lords, classify them as "Archdevils and Baatezu" and "Demon Lords and Tanar'ri" or something like that?

I don't know if there can be a composite Dragon profile. Not only are there Chromatic Dragons, there's Metallic, Gem, Adamantine, Legendary, Space, and probably some one off Dragons. It just seems like its to big.

yeah my thoughts exactly but we're gonna end up with about 800 dragon pages

D&D biggest verse confirmed

Some of them warrant different pages though. Like the Time Dragons or the Force Dragons.

P R I S M A T I C D R A G O N

The strongest monster by CR in the SRD for 3.5e

In Dragon #359 there was a new Legendary Dragon. Its like a standard Dragon but with some of the Phane's time hax. Like that sweet at will timestop powers or the immunity to every spell that doesn't have an instantaneous duration.

Ah yes, the Kou-Toa. Who can forget their main goddess: Blibdoolpoolp.

very biblical name, Blibdoolpoolp

So I was thinking of biting the bullet and start working on a profile for a composite Psion Adventurer. Gonna take awhile though considering all of the powers that would needed to be listed.

Could begin reworking CA once again.

We'd need to set up every canon race and their abilities, since those inherently go to every profile.

"What race are you?"

"That's easy. I'm a Half-Elf-Orc-Dwarf-Dragon-Human-Halfling-Ogre-Goalith-Gnome-Tiefling-Aasimar."

"Also Kuo-Toa-Drow-Shade-Centaur-Dragonborn-Bladeling-Gith-" etc etc.

Weird concept but technically true.

The implications of that table make me incredibly uncomfortable jesus christ

I look forward to our abomination.

Unrelated but I recently learned that there are Mind Flayer Dragons. So that's nifty

Yeah, Brainstealers. One of their images are on the Mind Flayer page.

We gonna add them in the page update or is that for a different page?

Probably add them to the MF page.

I'm just mentally preparing myself for that since Mind Flayers have an absurd amount of content concerning them I will likely need to work through (looking at you, Illithiad)

How should we treat their prime civ? Back when they were so powerful the Blood War was temporarily halted so that they could push back against the empire?

God that uh

I mean the Blood War is typically waged by Low 2-Cs and 2-Cs so I suppose that'd be the level of their tech

so quick question about the CA are we going to incude stuff from unearthed arcana?

Edit: Also sorry it is taking so long with the 4e stuff.

Dude I've taken a lot longer with 3rd edition stuff, no biggie.

And... I would assume so? Unearthed Arcana is D&D stuff IIRC.

Alright I has mainly asking since I ended up finding a ghost race from 4e's Unearthed Arcana in dragon magazine 420, and did not know if that would be allowed.

I mean

If it is canonically playable I'd say yes

Theoretically in 3e you can play every single race. There's an old meme about Godzillia due to this.

Honestly though I think it's a very bad idea to do that. We should just stick with either the core playable character races or use a limited pool. Because it's not possible for someone to have characteristics of every race without shapeshifting.

We should leave it as Possibly and make a note expanding on for each match the race should be specified.

So something like "Stamina: High for most races, limitless for XYZ" or "Enhanced senses (Elves can detect hidden doors. Dwarfs can see in the dark)"

Yes, like that. Put the racial abilities at the end under a "Possibly".

I can see stuff like the revenant and vryloka still being useable for this. Since vryloka are at there core just humans with extra powers, and well every race in 4e can become a revenant.

Though there are shapeshifting player races, though I don't think they gain the powers from other races when they shift.
