Calculation Requests Thread - 10

Because you made a mistake, as explained by Executor.

Alternatively, Iwandesu's formula is from the OBD and we aren't the OBD.

For example, if object size is 1 pixel and panel height is 2 px.

If we go straight for degrees...

2atan(1/(2/tan(70/2))) = 38.590685470678 degrees

If we get radians first:

0.465237459688 radians

0.465237459688*180/3.14 = 26.6696632942165605 degrees

I corrected the mistake and the result is still different.

Actually, 2atan(1/(2/tan(70/2))) = 2atan(tan(70/2)*(1/2)

Both yield the same radians.

I still don't know should I go straight for degrees, or get radians first. I have went straight for degrees in all of my calcs, cuz Gwynbleiddd does that and I trust him.

Kkapoios doing something wrong isn't new, we had to correct a lot of his Naruto calculations for the revision, not to bash him since he was a good calculator.

Anyway, the formula you're using is identical to what we use in radians. Maybe you're plugging it wrong in the calculator?

Early in the story (SAO Progressive, which is now the canon source for Aincrad arc), Asuna and company trained in unarmed combat, and it involved trying to break a boulder in half.

Later, a cow monster was tricked by Asuna into slamming into another boulder.

I would like to request a calc for the cow's feat as it is a very, very early mob (2nd floor) and it's not something special so it at the very least scales to weaker players like Silica. Also scales to the lifelike NPC, Kizmel which I intend to make a profile of in the future.

Priority: 2

@Gemmy. How tall is the character in the first image?
The girl beside the rock with a crack on it? That's Asuna. She's 168cm.

  • Priority: 2
  • Verse/Characters: Sora no Otoshimono; Astraea, Chaos and Ikaros
  • Brief Feat Description: Astraea transformed into to Pandora mode. She began moving at high speeds. Her march photon wings began blasting out photon (out of her wings) increasing her flight and reaction speed to the point Chaos could not even percieve her. Chaos was finally able to adapt and react to Astraea. Pandora Ikaros should scale to this because she has the fastest flight speed.

Can anyone take a look at this? I think this could be light speed light and reactions.

@Therefir Causing the ground to crack open is a XI on the mercalli intensity scale. According to this, any mercalli intensity scale over VIII would get a Ritcher Magnitude of over 7. Radiated waves would be Large Town level.

It would be better if we find the destructive energy of that feat and not using earthquakes as an example.

I am Saint Dhees. Fire scorches the earth at my command.
~ Saint Dhees before fighting the Chosen Wizard
With that out of the way...

Character/Verse: Saint Dhees/THE EYE OF JUDGMENT

Importance/Priority: Approximately 2 at least (The Saints are at the very least, comparable to Seer Vizak (Who is an ally of Juno, who as a God is immune to Time & Space, and can exist in multiple timelines at once. This would imply that Juno is unbound by all Dimensional Layers.)

Brief Feat Description: Just a simple one: Since Saint Dhees can scorch the earth at will, the feat is that how much destruction could such fire can cause on a Earth Sized Planet (Eye of Judgment's home world of Terra Firma is of this size.). This, in turn, would measure Saint Dhees, & the other Saints' minimum power.

Notes: The Four Saints each scale from each other (Saint Tritona & Saint Dhees create Steam, Val na Vos & Dhees create a glass environment with his Sand & Dhees' Fire, and the fire will keep burning plantlife created by Til Vorg which will grow forever. Tritona & Val Na Vos will make a very muddy world, & Tritona would flood the world as Til Vorg would surround it with trees. Finally Val Na Vos & Til Vorg would be like Groudo vs Kyogre, but on steroids, and no Third Party in sight.

Good luck.

  • Importance/Priority: 3, maybe higher (May upgrade anime Yami Yugi's durability & anyone who scales to him. It's also a feat for Tea Gardner & possibly Weevil.)
  • Name of the Verse/Character: Anime Yugi Muto , from Yu-Gi-Oh! (At the time, only Yami Yugi is in the body though, as this is after Rafael defeated Pharoah, & Yugi Muto had his soul taken away in place of Yami's. Arguably still Yugi's body, though.)
  • Brief Feat Description: Yugi, Tea, & Weevil (With no soul in his body at the time) fall off a cliff when the train they're on top of is derailed.
https://youtu.be/kSqjGx4wd_k?t=19m19s Feat starts at the stamped time of 19 minutes, 19 seconds.

Interestingly, this train derailed with great momentum; At the end of the episode, it's shown falling over a forest. https://youtu.be/ihFTOyxs2rY?t=10s At the next episode, at least part of the train is shown in water, despite the nearest river being visibly distant from where the train fell.

Foreign YGO dub links because on Youtube, correct resolution, correct audio speed, & uncensored.

Importance/Priority: 3 (base Astraea should be higher as she has stronger weapons, as does Chaos)

Name/Verse: Ikaros from Sora no Otoshimono

Brief Description of Feat:

Uranus Queen Ikaros is mid country level with her other attacks, but she should be even higher with her laser cannon Hephaestus.

In the anime Ikaros had a Uranus System Space War Ship with a Hephaestus laser cannon though not cannonly portrayed because of the Manga Ikaros didn't have the space ship. She just had the laser cannon. Everything still happening in that episode is still canon to Chapter 15. Its still the same shot but Anime is using a space ship with the Hephaestus Canon and Manga is just using the canon.

Here's the manga part

@Imaginym There is this thing called terminal velocity. Terminal velocity stops any human from going over 72 m/s, due to air friction. Human falling feats top at Wall level, no matter how high they fall from.

For a train, however, I don't know. It should be higher than Wall level, I guess.

Spino, that is 100% incorrect. Humans can travel faster than sound depending on how high up it is.

Theoretically, no human-shaped creature can surpass terminal velocity, that is 59 m/s, 80 m/s if it reduce the surface at max.

Incorrect.

Humans have been recorded falling at 9/10 of the speed of sound beforehand.

Only at a very high altitude, where extremely thin air produces little drag force.

Based on wind resistance terminal velocity is only 54 m/s.

Terminal velocity is 53m/s at the lower atmosphere, yes.

"Not any higher", however, is misinformation, so I watched out for that.

Belly-to-earth fall is around 53-54 m/s. With limbs pulled in 90 m/s can be achieved. 150 m/s can be achieved by falling head-down, in a professional skydiver way. The world record is 380 m/s, IIRC, but it was 39 000 m up and there's not that much air resistance.

Depending on how high up you are, you can fall headfist towards the Earth at transonic speeds. This is especially true near the termosphere and the exosphere, of course.

Also, terminal velocity doesn't necessarily hold true in fiction. A calculation must be made to determine the speed. That's why characters fall at massively hypersonic speeds constantly.

Just watch out for that and you'll be fine.

@Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan and @Kepekley23

That is interesting, thank you, & I very much appreciate the information. I didn't know about that limitation of falling speed feats, & I'll try to keep it in mind. However....

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Yugi_Muto_(Anime) That's the profile of the character it would apply to. Here's some info from it. If you know it already, my apologies.

Tier: 10-B. 9-C | 9-C

Attack Potency:
Human level. Street level (Adult Yugi should be comparable to Atem/his Yami counterpart) | Street level (Atem sealed Zorc and has led his army in many battles with magical monster beings, that, in turn, can beat strong people)

Durability: Human level. Street level | Street level

What I gather from this is Yugi Muto's anime profile currently has poor justification for any of his statistics. Even the manga version is only 10-A, & that's for taking a lot of beating from tough delinquents in school.

If falling feats CAN go as high as Wall Level, then this still seems like it could upgrade Anime Yugi, especially if he's only Street Level.

At the very least, it's a good "supporting feat", if that, considering his current justification for his Durability.

@Imaginym A thing as heavy as a train falling that high would result in at least Wall level.

A train, which is more heavier than a human, would result in more energy when falling.

It could possibly even get Room level, but it'll need a calc to prove it.

@Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan

I see. Well, can a human falling yield Street Level or higher? Given Anime Yugi's lack of other justifications for him being Street Level, & his lack of any actual numbers to his page.

I'm assuming you saying "it'll need a calc to prove it" is you saying you ain't gonna be the one to do the calc, however, eh?

The speed of the beam in the anime ahs already been calc as Sub Relativistic. It is the same shot in the manga too. I just need to know how much energy went into the blast because it should be way than mid country level.
is the blast hitting the earth in that shot?

That's fair. If you find the time, I'll be very grateful if you do do it! If not, though, that's fine. Plus, it is open for others to take it on; That's what this thread is for, after all! Good luck with whatever you do!

It's coming out of Earth.

Prioity: Spider-Man (MTV)

Verse: Spider-Man: The New Animated Series

AP and Striking Strength:

Description: An angered Spider-Man punches Kraven into a door, breaking it off.

Feat: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1teyz?start=299

Speed and Durability:

Description: Spider-Man BRIEFLY outruns an explosion after an oil tanker drives into a "high voltage" box/generator thing. Seems as if he was knocked back and hurt.

Feat: https://youtu.be/KCrhjo5qGPg?t=437

Verse: Guild Hunter (Verse)

Priority: 1 (the entire verse would scale from it)

Descriptio: The Arch Angels completely destroy Beijing, leaving the entire City as one Black Crater. The City is noted to be unlivable for Mortals after it, with effects similar to Radiation. The Feat itself is performed with what seems like pure Energy.

Notes: Propably the entire Top and Godtier would scale from it. This will be the entire building block of the Verses I want to make pages for. Feat was performed by 9 Arch Angels fighting against the Arch Angel of Death, Lijuan.

After editing the post, I'm Bumping this. Apologies for the large wall of text; many others do this & they get away wthout trying. XP
