Calculation Requests Thread - 10

  • Importance/Priority: 3, maybe higher (It being higher depends on if there's any basis for other characters scaling to these feats; Most of these feats are done with equipment, some of which is formed from a character with higher feats than Joey or Valon have themselves.)
  • Name of the Verse/Character: Joey Wheeler & Valon
  • Brief Feat Description: Multiple feats.
Note: Although this is a duel, the Seal of Orichalcos makes the monsters real, both combatants are repeatedly shown taking damage to their bodies, & IMHO, there's little doubt to the physicality of Hermos, as it has shown feats outside of duels, & to a lesser extent, it should be reasonable to assume the other monsters have physicality here, too.

Also, for the sake of accurate video resolution & speed, I will be linking a certain kind of foreign YGO dub. Sorry to those who dislike it. I'll also be linking to an English subbed Japanese source for dialogue citation; That source seems to have sped-up video, so I'm not sure it's reliable.

In said state, Joey as Lord of the Red & Valon, using primarily his Buster Pyle -& other current Armor- collide, creating an explosion of considerable size. Right before this, Joey also shows some flight; The takeoff is partially obscured, but given the height he achieves, it may be worth also calculating the speed.

EarlyCloseUpOfJoeyVsValonExplosion
A full-screened screenshot of the video, early, close-up, & shortly before the explosion expands & bursts. Mai Valentine in bottom left.

Notably, afterwards, after using a trap to trigger a de-fusion of Joey's LotR armor, Valon is able to strike Joey hard enough that Joey nearly vomits, while still in said armor that survived said explosion, before it de-fuses. This may mean Valon has sufficient AP to overcome the durability to survive that.

  • Feat 4: After game mechanics let him get Valon's Big Bang Blow, Joey uses his Claw of Hermos to fuse them, & gets his Big Bang Dragon Blow equipped. Valon, with Psychic Armor Head, Burning Knuckle, Jet Gauntlet, Over Boost & Active Guard, charges Joey, & the 2 clash with fists.
This causes a shockwave that literally knocks Mai off her feet, makes a spiraling pillar of light/said to erupt towards the sky, at the bottom of which, are Valon & Joey with it swirling around them. Joey also sacrifices REBD, arguably, to augment this attack but the stated reason is for an effect/game mechanic.

A screenshot of the clash before the pillar/swirling energy storm thing starts.

A screenshot of the pillar, viewed from afar, by Yugi, Tea & Tristan.

Sorry about all the words! Any help with these would be greatly appreciated!!

@Cooltaff: Nope. Haven't watched Abridged in ages. Did a new episode come out? These feats came to mind when contemplating if anyone in Yugioh was above Street Level, & because some Anime Revisions have been in mind lately. I'm not smart enough to calc for myself. In any case, that line of thought brought me to Orichalcos Arc, & I brought that up in another thread, & so I got to requesting these.

But this is off-topic for this thread. It's for calc requests. I think it'd be preferred by some if this line of discussion between us were continued on my Message Wall or such.

How is this small country level? This is her strongest weapon, and weaker weapons are country to country +. Also that light was not an explosion. It's a fully powered laser beam that Ikaros shot.
There's literally no other way to get an energy calc here without using NTF, Unless it left a crater or something

Let me know if it's too early to Bump this. I already included a map of Terra Firma. I just want to know the px amount of Earth in Map form, and not planet form so someone can calc this right away. Oh, and one last thing, due to how powerful the saints' lowest power is even, it basically is global, and all at once. That is what I'm looking for if anyone is confused...

*Priority: 2*Verse/Characters: Sora no Otoshimono; Astraea, Chaos and Ikaros
  • Brief Feat Description: Astraea transformed into to Pandora mode. She began moving at high speeds. Her march photon wings began blasting out photon (out of her wings) increasing her flight and reaction speed to the point Chaos could not even percieve her. Chaos was finally able to adapt and react to Astraea. Pandora Ikaros should scale to this because she has the fastest flight speed.

@Matt

1. Looks un-calcable. Even if it were, the skull ain't moving fast so it probably doesn't get over 8-C.

2. Looks doable for a speed rating.

3. Wall level hardcore. Pretty much a picture-perfect wall level example.

4. Explosion is pretty small. Wall level, maybe Small Building max.

5. Aside from snapping the cables (snapping spun steel cables like that is probably wall level) gravity does most of the work here.

6. Small explosions that are fire-based rather than TNT based. Same as 4.

7. That one is actually easy. Vaporizing a human is 300 Megajoules, it destroyed 3 people, so 900,000,000 joules. 9-A, Small Building level.

8. Ceiling is thin and gravity does most of the work. Wall level.

9. Instantly pulverizing metal huh? I'll do a really rough highball and see how far it gets. Assuming that statue is fairly tall (it is over mostly everyone) at 200 cm with a shoulder width of 20 inches (50.8 cm), the volume is 1.62x10^6 cc. Applying pulverization of steel: 145,800,000 joules. So 9-A, but keep in mind that is super highballed. It assumes the statue is a cylinder, which a normal person's statue frame would not be. May still be worth doing though.

10. Since they are only human durability that pretty much has to be worth doing.

11. Oh man. All that was one attack? I don't know where to begin in calcing it but it should be over Wall by a decent bit.

@Assalt

Thanks for the responses. Well, Wall level to Building level is what I was expecting, really. Still, the fact that nameless Death Eaters have numerous Wall level feat is pretty good. Considering people still think Harry Potter caps at 9-C.

Also, quick question. There's this off-screen feat for Voldemort in the books:

"The Prime Minister's pulse quickened at the very thought of these accusations, for they were neither fair nor true. How on earth was his government supposed to have stopped that bridge collapsing? It was outrageous for anybody to suggest that they were not spending enough on bridges. The bridge was fewer than ten years old, and the best experts were at a loss to explain why it had snapped cleanly in two, sending a dozen cars into the watery depths of the river below."
"He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has now been joined by those of his followers who broke out of Azkaban in January," said Fudge, speaking more and more rapidly and twirling his bowler so fast that it was a lime-green blur. "Since they have moved into the open, they have been wreaking havoc. The Brockdale Bridge--he did it, Prime Minister, he threatened a mass Muggle killing unless I stood aside for him and--"

Voldemort split a bridge cleanly in two, killing a dozen drivers who were atop it. Sounds Building level to me, what do you think?

@Matt

Depends on the bridge and how it was done. If he targeted supports like the Death Eaters, not as impressive. If he outright shattered it, it is definitely 8-C.

Matthew Schroeder said:
well, they say it was split cleanly in two. Destroying cables wouldn't do that.

What about the 12th feat, the cloud one?
Same as the original. Either un-calcable or not that amazing.

You need to realize that by the standards of Harry Potter, 8-C is pretty damn amazing. The best feat in the Verse is 8-A.

Also the Obscurius has a Building level feat in the same movie, it literally consumes a building. Then later it gets killed by 12-something Aurors rapidly firing spells at it.

Then immediately after that Grindewald stomps these same Aurors, casually deflecting the same spells which they used to kill the Obscurius.

By the way, I removed my storm calculation from Voldemort's page. The method we used for wattage was recently debunked, so the feat is kinda sucky.

Probably an hyperbole. Given the size of the Hogwarts Castle, that could be dangerously close to 8-A, which is an outlier.

It's prolly still Low-end building level just from luminosity and thunders.
