All-purpose request thread (New forum)

So uh, are we gonna do anything about this? All the "anime" terms within the paratheses should be renamed to "Donghua"
Not really incorrect. Anime is a shortened version of the Japanese word for animation. Using it is entirely factually correct in these instances on most levels- they are animated, they seem to follow general Japanese-popularized animation styles (similar to RWBY and ATLA being considered anime despite originating in the States).

I don't particularly care if we want to change it for sentimental reasons for the enthusiasts, but it's not incorrect.

I mean, we don't call US-animation “anime” either, but cartoon.
Actually, we do- when it copies the stylistic choices of Japanese anime. I even mentioned two examples I was aware of- RWBY and ATLA.

Ya, when it follows these criteria, we do call them “anime”. But I am talking about pure US-animation. We call them cartoons.

So you're agreeing that those US made media are anime, and... what, contending they aren't anyways? I don't think I understand.

No, I agreed that those US made media THAT follows similar japan-animation style is called “anime”. What I did not agreed with, that others who DON'T share the similar nature of japanese-animation style are not "anime", but rather their respective medium (like Cartoons).

Okay, then overall we agree. RWBY is anime, Invader Zim isn't.

Is it possible that this thread can be closed? There was already a thread that discussed about the same topic, but it was already addressed and rejected
He is using different arguments, so doesn't create a problem in regards to this rule:
When creating content revisions, it is essential to ensure that the topic has not been addressed previously. Rejected content revisions cannot be resubmitted within a short period of time (typically defined as within 3 to 4 months), except in cases where a staff member has a good reason to do so (e.g. important unconsidered information, violation of site standards or flaws in a calculation). This only applies to threads that have received extensive debate or have been rejected due to a clear conflict with the wiki's rules or standards. If a thread passes or is rejected without significant opposition, then opposition should not be restricted from making a point.
here

Due to the type 5 acausal revisions, I'm going to need all of these profiles unlocked so that they can be updated

For whoever's going to open all of these, I'm sorry

Finished updating these, they can be locked again

Since I can't ban myself, I'd like to request a ban for one week for reasons that I won't explain. And, yes, I would like it to be a ban rather than just a break.

I'd like a few minutes before the ban, however. I need to get some stuff in order.

Edit: I've said what I needed to. I'm ready for a ban.

@Antvasima @DarkDragonMedeus @AKM sama Could one of you perform the ban?

Also, just ban me on the forum, not the wiki.

I tried, and it doesn't work if I do it. It says "Successfully banned", but when I look at your profile or banned users list it does not register. Think only Bureaucrats can ban Admins.
