  • Not really interested in most things that don't directly concern me (I.E. verses I have interacted with in the past). Feel free to ask for input on other stuff but you're relatively unlikely to get a response unless it's like, some indie/retro game in which case I might give it a look cause I like those. I still check the forum I'm just like, much less interested in the wiki than I used to be.
Since you are a math lover, I wanted to ask a question. I've checked the reference feat for common feats, and it seems that we don't calculate the height of the barrel when destroying it. Does it just not matter? I'm not good at math and other shit, which is why I'm asking here.

    Thanks in advance!

That's just using the stats of a random barrel. If you wanna actually calculate the crate-shattering feat then:
    • Calculate the size of the crate based on the character's height and then calculate its volume (likely as a cube or rectangular prism)
    • Reduce the result by 90% to account for hollowness
    • Multiply it by the fragmentation value of some wood. You could do 90% wood 10% steel if you wanted to be more accurate
    Rikimarox2
    Rikimarox2
And just like that, I'm reminded why I hate math.

Assuming I did all this stuff, what if the character destroys two barrels instead of one? Do we just double the result?
    Armorchompy
    Armorchompy
if it's done in one attack and they're the same size yeah, if they're not the same size you have to do the calc for both and sum the results
Hello, Armor. Hope I'm not bothering.
I'm looking for opinions about estimating the size of a city that gets destroyed in a book, based on various context clues provided.
Would you mind giving your opinion on here about it?

Thanks a lot for commenting. I posted the result I came up with; can you comment what you think? Thank you.
Hi there, i would like to ask you a question: "Does Makima use mind control first in-character and does she need to activate via verbal command? If so, what about the time when she doesn't start with it against Power?"
    Armorchompy
    Armorchompy
It's been a while since I read CSM but I'm pretty sure Power just resisted it. I think it might be verbal but I dunno.

Well that wouldn't be accurate to the feat as 1/5th in this specific context applies to land above sea level (Aka the continents of which Europe is somewhat close to being a 5th of that and it while it isnt close to the planets entire surface including below the ocean while the generic calc takes into account everything) also the generic calc doesnt take into account depth as the destruction in this case had the land reorganizing and randomly shifting across nearby continents due to the event. So thats why I chose to calc it from scratch.

Alright. Well looking at the calc itself I disagree with vaporization since disintegrated can be as low as Vfrag, maybe even Frag.
    Jackof_noTrades068
    Jackof_noTrades068
I mean the attack is still heat based which cant really Vfrag or frag things, but I added Vfrag ends anyway now so you can comment directly on the blog now
    Yo, sorry to bother again...
    Sm3HOHv.png

I know the mass of the ship, but I guess we don't do the fragmentation of it with Gbe.... Since I know the mass so, which formula should I apply? (Or should I directly multiply the volume by the fragmentation value of the iron steel?)
Yo, I redid my floor-bust calc here with a bunch of ends. DMUA accepted the new 90% concrete 10% steel end which is shockingly similar to that of the reinforced concrete high-end.

Mainly Saejima's tornado and the lightning bolt stuff (Which is actually legit considering it can send characters into having muscle spasms and convulsions and even a Paralyze effect falls in place), but we didn't calc Saejima's tornado, because Summons and stuff.

Also you should have given the evaluation in the blog comments dummy
    Armorchompy

You think those'll get used now?
    KLOL506
    KLOL506
Saejima's Tornado is sort of shaky because turns out, his tornados exceed the floor feat by a massive margin (Apparently to make cars fly around hard due to tornadoes it'll go straight to High 8-C and beyond) and is funky like that because schizophrenic RPG tendency of summons, the lightning feat is sorta legit but Ichiban is grounded with his feet so he isn't taking the full energy of the bolt outright to his face. MHS+ lightning summoning is legit tho.

The satellite feat is totally out of question, cloud splitting alone gets it to Tier 7-6.
Quick calc question. In Kung Fu Panda, there's a feat where a character breaks open a part of the wall of China. Jasonsith calced the feat here, but used cement for the destruction values. However, the wall is made mostly of stone bricks held together by cement, so I think that destruction values for stone would be more accurate, but Jasonsith says something about the stones being cut rather than being natural making them weaker than naturally occuring stone. What do you think?
Hello! I contact you because you're from the calculation group. I would like you to tell me what you think of a calc I did in this thread.

    Thank you in advance!
    Hello, I'd like an opinion.

How do you think calcs and scaling for RTS games should go? Generally, buildings (and sometimes large units) are scaled down from what their real size would be, so they can fit on the screen and not overwhelm.
For example, in one of them, here's what a house looks like, compared to soldiers. While here is how a city looks like. Obviously, houses (with a floor, at that) aren't that small compared to humans. And cities don't look like and aren't connected like that.
If it's called a "Large City" in-game, should it be treated as an actual large city for the purpose of stats?

    What do you think?

No problemo. What game is this, by the way?
    GoldenScorpions
    GoldenScorpions
It's called Rise of Legends. It's a RTS game, a spin-off of Rise of Nations; instead of real-world nations and units, everything is fantasy, with both magic and sci-fi. It has a verse page that I made some years ago, but there's things lacking. So I'd like to revisit it in order to have proper statistics, so the profiles can stay.
Sorry to bother again, a heavy question... Is it a landslide to create a tsunami by adding hydrogen to the sea at an subatomic level?
For some reason I felt like it suitable that description

It has been suggested that environmental changes driven by changes in climate could cause instability at continental margins, and increase the landslide frequency. Changes in water temperature or pressure regime (through sea level changes) causes otherwise stable gas hydrate to dissociate. The reduction of weight on continents due to melting ice sheets causes the Earth’s crust to rebound accompanied by large earthquakes. Both gas hydrate dissociation and earthquakes have the potential to cause submarine landslides.
You're awesome... since you helped me a lot with the Zagor calculation, I can now do the speed calculations at the speed of a firecracker 👀

Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable in Pokèmon, I've contributed to some threads but I don't think I could help much with his one.
Hello, can I ask a question if you are good at lifting strength calculations?

ok i will explain with this picture, a character (triangle) is trying to pull the ship (rounded rectangle) with a chain (red line), but a vacuum is formed in the sea (the shape with a round inside a circle) and the character can still hold the ship for a few seconds, but then the chain breaks. How can I calculate this?
    Armorchompy
    Armorchompy
I have no idea, sorry. I guess it could just be the force of a chain snapping but I don't know how much that is either

Yo, question... Destroying everything within 150 kilometers what is it as a tier?
    Armorchompy

It depends on how it's done, it could be hax, TK, environmental destruction or a good 'ol explosion. If it's an explosion then it'd be 6-C
    Hi, sorry to bother again
A character is blitzing against the enemy, but while he is making these moves, how do we adapt these moves to calculation?
    Armorchompy
    Armorchompy
for arm movements you can calculate how much the arm moved ig
    Yar_R_agi_7k
    Yar_R_agi_7k
So I'm going to calculate how many degrees he's moving the way I used to....
    Armorchompy
    Armorchompy
yeah, but for the arms. or you can just pixel scale it, depends on the situation
Yo, sorry to bother again ... I know that when a character jumps from a bullet, we get the height of her jump, but something occurred to me, if the character turns 180 degrees while jumping into the air, will we count this 180 degrees?

Yo, could you evaluate this calc when you are available? Also ı used angsizing in the first calculation because Kratos is much closer to the screen. (i guess it's important for a Gow crt)
Yo, sorry to bother again, a little question. Sometimes there's no need to use the angsizing formula, but because the distance from perspective looks good, it's enough just to draw a line, right? (Like this)
