Also did you guys disagree with any results this year other than the obvious omnidock, for me it was blade vs buffy and Eggman vs bowser but everything else was fine

I don't buy Outer for Simon, and Dante stamina problem I disagree a lot.

We have a giant problem regarding the way that we scale the speed of Marvel's street-tiers (They are rated Hypersonic+ currently). There have been some talk to change the current ratings since a few months ago, though
Most people in-wiki agree with street tiers being consistently at High Hypersonic to MHS+ speeds, with FTL being an outlier

DA probably only read the first part and had a meltdown. It seems he was already on thin ice and that was it.
It sucks, but he probably should have read the title and thread a bit more and took a moment to reflect before laying it out. It really seems like "F you guys, you're the reason I'm taking a break. Well how about I **** off forever? I'm out"

I also like how the community is coming up with the solution to blame the writers instead. Like in a "We attacked the wrong guy. We should have been attacking this other guy this whole time!"

Kratosura failure to deliver was on everyone DA deserves his fair share of the blame but he doesn't deserve to get dragged over it as the sole cause when the writers for Kratosura fumbled Asura n Kratos writing wise I don't want to give him shit but I don't want to act like he's perfect and can't do shit wrong either

But yeah, Dante Vs Clive had a VERY good fight but pretty lackluster analysis and nonexistent hype left me feeling nothing for this episode.
Giorno Vs Joker is the exact opposite where the analysis is spot on but the fight is just.... meh? I really expected more flare for it with all of Joker's arsenal and stuff. That and I'm not a fan of Giorno's characterization in it.

I still think Outer Simon is really iffy even after reading the translation.
Eggman Vs Bowser is pretty debatable just mainly due to the Chaos Emeralds scaling but I'm kinda aight with Bowser winning.
Not knowledgeable on Clive but even with Uni scaling it really did feel like they downplayed Dante's speed and AP.
Not a fan of Tier 7 Mahito or Miles but they don't bother me that much considering their opponents are both country busters so it's kinda whatever.

Not gonna lie, I am gonna miss Devil Artemis. But three things can be true at 1) He as an animator leaves a lot to be desired and he can indeed be partially blamed for the shortcomings of episodes like Kratosura and Omnidock and he works best with other people covering his faults 2) he was consistently dealt a bad hand and overwork in Season 24-25 and even before that, 3) general audiences who don’t know what goes on behind the scenes can vicious and stupid.

The thing is they didnt even use that. They just used Primordial shockwaves and Helios' light specifically lighting up the universe. That dumass scene was just for visuals.

now everybody's overreacting. there's wave of toxic positivity and revisionism. now suddenly there's "Kratos vs Asura is good" posts and "you cannot criticize anymore" and people crying in general and blowing things out of proportion.

To be fair for this one, DB just never tells anyone who doesn't pay them to be in the Discord anything about behind the scenes stuff still until way after the fact. The only recent exception I can think of is the Kratos vs Asura storyboards but that felt more like damage control than anything due to how controversial that episode was. Literally every time we learn about some behind the scenes info or some future info its because someone bothered to screencap a statement made in the Discord. When the vast majority of your fanbase literally cannot see your explanations then what do you expect?
Even the Q&As are locked behind a paywall. You can't go "you guys have no idea what goes on during the making of an episode" while also paywalling the ability to learn said info.

Cognitive Dissonance on Kratos is insane. Reddit posts recently prove that. If GoW was a popular anime or manga verse, people would be glazing the **** out of it.
Lore and chainscaling is only allowed for others, for GoW it's illegal.

Don't look at me buddy. I've been consistent with my distaste for so called "lore" scaling for years. I've been against all the examples you've brought up in this thread and more. I'm a big comic fan but every time DB says that a street level character that can be threatened by guns has FTL or nanosecond reactions my eyes just roll into the back of my head.

Its just games in general. You can't really do lore-accurate runs for most games because it would be boring as hell. Like DMC - a franchise renowned for its hardness- would be a literal walking sim because Dante no diffs nearly all his enemies by his mere presence. Prototype and games like it get close, but even they kneecap the player because the enemies have to have someway to hurt the MC

Personally I do think he deserved his fair share of criticism for how Kratos vs Asura turned out. It was nice that he fought to get Asura better characterization but for some reason everyone is suddenly pretending like the actual animation we got wasn't disliked. One of the major complains was how absolutely one sided the fight felt with Asura just going through all of his forms super fast while Kratos didn't seem to be taking any real damage from anything that Asura was doing. Then there was that weird ass smirk Kratos did during the climax that was super out of character.
I didn't really have any problems with Bardock vs Omniman's animation and I always knew that Hulk vs Godzilla was gonna look super jank just because of the size difference which is why I didn't think it was a good idea to make it an episode back when it first started getting attention.

I can understand people being anal about buying let's say multiversal Doomslayer. Because there is no on-screen feat. Only text based evidence.
But GoW and DMC have on screen feats. GoW has one or two in each saga.
People milking Dragon Ball's BoG clash for decade of powerscaling and chainscaling everyone's mother and grandmother is valid.
But characters chainscaling to 2-3 cosmic feats is invalid and illegal. They don't even stop there, they will actively ignore the feats exist even if you show it to their face or say rest of the material contradicts it. As if rest of comics/manga/anime verses aren't street/mountain level for 99.99% of screen time. AP=/=DC as a concept only applies to others, but GoW is vilified for not having characters not destroy planets every few clashes.
