I highly suspect DB believed back then showing big numbers was enough and it would impress the normie audience so they wouldn't look any further beyond it unlike the wider Vs community who found that "feat" laughable.

Off topic: Jin Mori comes from The God of High School - a South Korea franchise. And iirc we have not had a South Korea franchise coming to Death Battle yet despite we now have at least one sort of PRC-funded "USA" franchise in Death Battle.

I don't really get people that want to see Obito VS Vader... we already got Obi-Wan VS Kakashi, we know who they think wins between Star Wars and Naruto. I guess I'm just one of the people who finds the debate more interesting than the actual show, but really, what's the point of an episode when you already know the outcome?

I think this season we'll be getting the first Lord of the Rings fight with Gandalf VS Dumbledore. It'll be basically perfect timing with the new LOTR show and the new Harry Potter movie / game both coming out and I can't see them not capitalizing on that.

I was specifically talking about Anime/Manga not in general, since aside for a few cases all other Anime/Manga series were either already very mainstream or got popular just recently.

So Naruto does have a lot of rosters for Death Battle.
My problem is: Many other verses have a way bigger casts.
(Pokémon has hundreds of monsters and tens of notable trainers every generation)
Why are some verses not having a character per season?
Remember: we only have had Marvel and DC and Dragon Ball and Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat and RVB and Power Rangers and having more characters than Naruto.
